Rudy Giuliani predicts: Clinton/Obama will be our ticket. Calls it "formidable".
WASHINGTON (AFP) — Former New York mayor Rudolph Giuliani, frontrunner for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination, is predicting that Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama will team up to form the Democrats' White House ticket, US media reported Sunday.

"I believe she will be the nominee, and Senator Obama will be the vice presidential nominee," Giuliani said in remarks reported by the Washington Post.

"That's the candidacy we are going to be facing, and that is a very formidable candidacy," he said in an interview conducted late last week.

Clinton, who is vying to make history by becoming America's first woman president, has opened up a sizeable lead over the rest of the Democratic field, including Obama, who aspires to be the first African American president.

Many political observers agree with Giuliani that the former first lady is opening up a sizeable lead for the Democratic nomination.

The ex-mayor's prediction of an eventual Obama vice-presidential nod goes against conventional wisdom, however.

"He's kind of earned it," Giuliani said. "He brings a kind of enthusiasm to the ticket that everyone desires and likes to have."

2. Rudy Giuliani is a horse's ass.
I really don't care about what he predicts, and I am also sick and tired of not being able to post on Democratic Underground without either Hillary or Obama supporters commenting on those posts through the narrow filters of their prejudices. So either ones can give it a rest here, please, and just accept that I believe that Rudy is a horse's ass, period.

7. Thank you for enlightening me. My comment stands.
You posted without comment. So what do you think? I am sorry to rip on your post; I have had the war between the two show up on my Lounge comments about movies, and just wanted to express my opinion of Rudy independent of the war going on here. (I happen to think either would be superior to Rudy, and that's a dangerous thing to express right now.) So no offense, and I do understand that this is a political commentary site. And thanks for your initial post.

Going for a twofer...

Comparing a Democrat with a sociopathic dictator who took the blood of 20,000,000 innocent men, women, and children to the grave with him is despicable...

32. If you add both Obama nad HRC's elected years in government together
you still don't get as many as Bidens. I admire Obama for recieving so much in small donations. he just isnt seasoned enough. HRC. Big corparate doners, big RED flag with me and the "brain behind Bill Clinton" doesn't fly with me either. He was the president. ( a great one at that) but Hillary is on the ticket, not Bill.

someone with experience who knows the players. I didn't say I agreed with them,. Just letting you know what they said. BTW, this was from a Dem who held a high state gov't office retired now. But has a vested interest in seeing things get straightened out.

and there's no requirement the President and the VP be friends. Many times they haven't much liked each other.
