George Allen endorses Fred Thompson. Howard Baker to serve as national campaign chair.
From the Atlantic's Marc Ambinder:

George Allen Endorses Fred Thompson

08 Oct 2007 10:22 am

Former Sen. George Allen has endorsed Ex-Sen. Fred Thompson's presidential campaign and will serve as a member of Thompson's national leadership team.

Also, Thompson will announce today that former TN Sen. Howard Baker will serve as his national campaign chair.

Other members of the leadership team include former State Dept. official Liz Cheney and former Sen. Spence Abraham.
Several of Allen's former advisers are raising money for Thompson or have agreed to serve as advisers to his campaign.

2. I was wondering
What happened to Sen. MaCaCaWitz, he was on cruise control to the GOP Nomination (YOU KNOW he would have been the nominee easily) Just too bad he imploded against Webb (who might have beat him without the macaca comment) I was counting on him BLOWING up during the general election campaign.

3. George Allen
is a piece of shit, which I guess makes him perfect for this position. Thank God we got rid of him in Virginia. He is a vile, racist, good ol' boy, and former Bush lap dog. :puke:
Luckily, Thompson will probably last all of about five minutes, saving us from having to see either one of their ugly mugs too much.

4. Allen's endorsement, guess the GOP wants to get rid of
Thompson straight off.
