We're about to learn a lot about Hillary Clinton this week

How will she respond to this Sandy Berger story? Foxnews is after her about it already. Talk radio is probably on it too.

Her response (or lack thereof) will give us a lot of insight into what kind of candidate she really is.

6. On this one, I dunno
I don't know all the details yet.

I hope she's smart enough not to shoot herself in the foot like this.

12. Berger has been a prime target for a long time
and his ties to Hillary, and the prospect of him being in her administration, have been part of their campaign the whole time. She absolutely knows what they're going to throw at her, and if she's decided to have Berger then she made the decision knowing exactly what she's in for and how she's going to handle it.

2. I don't like Hillary at all, but this story is treating Berger unfairly, of course,
and the RW is still claiming he stole classified documents so we may never know what was in them. We know they were COPIES and he pled guilty, unlike so many RWers.

3. She, unlike the others, can handle the Right Wing attacks.
I like when she laughs at them.

4. Man, if you don't yet know how Hillary handles RW criticism,
you haven't been awake the last decade and a half.

5. She'll laugh and say...

"Berger is an old friend, a wealth of foreign policy information, and isn't on my staff in any official capacity. Still, I find it amusing that FOX News and Bill Sammon and others like them - who've propped up this administration through some of the worse ethical lapses in presidential history, would cast stones now. Remember, these people paid writers for good press, denied scientific claims because it didn't meet their agenda, and likewise ran off American patriots like Richard Clarke, John O'Neill, and Paul O'Neil for daring to disagree with their foolishness. If the right wants to battle me over a few conversations among friends, I say let's take it to the ballot box in 2008!"

http://blogs.usatoday.com/onpolitics/2007/10/sen-clinton-san.html?loc=interstitialskip

At the end of an interview with Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton a short while ago, USA TODAY's Susan Page inquired about reports that former Clinton administration national security adviser Sandy Berger is advising her.

Susan asked whether Clinton has any qualms about having Berger as an unofficial adviser to her campaign, given his mishandling of sensitive, classified intelligence documents in 2003?

"He has no official role in my campaign. He's been a friend for more than 30 years. But he doesn't have any official role," Clinton said.

But he's an unofficial adviser, Susan asked?

"I have thousands of unofficial advisers," said Clinton, "and, you know, I appreciate all of that. But he has no official role in my campaign."

10. Poppy's "give Hillary hell" if she runs for office are it since he won't personally do it himself.
You know he has to keep this image of false propriety that he deludes himself to think it shines like a golden sun of virtues.
