Lately I've been thinking of running for President again, as I did in 2004, but this time under the Democratic Party rather than my own Most Progressive Party. I'm getting more than a little tired of this right-wing corporatist capitulator, this Dennis Kucinich, who to me represents the Republican wing of the Democratic Party. I will run far to the left of Mr. Kucinich, where the Democratic base is, and my research has shown that this will get the 50% of people who don't vote to show up in droves because I am the leftist hero that they have all been staying home waiting for.
Among my planks:
- No more dependance on oil at all. I will wean us off of petroleum within nine months. - Not just universal single-payer health care, but universal wellness programs as well to anyone who wants them. This means you get a free gym membership and some of those magnetic insoles for your shoes, air purifier thing, some kinda back massage or whatever the fuck. - 20 hour work week, and anyone who tries to kiss ass and work more than 25 goes to jail. - Troops home yesterday. No this is not a ridiculous goal. No I don't have a time machine. I will pass a bill that will say that the troops have been ordered home on May 2nd, 2003, and all the Republicans go to jail who have passed bills extending their stay beyond that for disobeying the orders of the commander-in-chief. - Zack de la Rocha as White House Press Secretary, and yes I will let him yell at the corporate whore media.
Where is Dennis Kucinich promising any of these things? Well then why are you voting for him?
This of course will take up more of my free time, and I might not be able to take my role exposing Nader as aggressively. But because I will be running to the left of Nader as well, I can expect him to shut up now thank you because my campaign will be so awesome.
What say you?
