When Michigan and Florida broke the rules, they jumped past...

... Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire and South Carolina. But lest we forget, they also jumped past the following states which followed the rules and scheduled their primaries to take place on the earliest valid date:

Alabama
Alaska (caucus)
Arizona
Arkansas
California
Colorado
Connecticut
Delaware
Georgia
Idaho
Illinois
Minnesota
Missouri
New Jersey
New Mexico
New York
North Dakota
Oklahoma
Tennessee
Utah

I wonder how the people in those states feel about Michigan and Florida ignoring rules by which their states abided?

1. Well, no
They didn't jump past Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire and South Carolina. They scheduled it for the same day as South Carolina, but the other 3 states were already earlier in January.

But the rest of your point is valid. They probably are laughing their asses off now, because Florida and Michigan don't get to have a hand in choosing the nominee. So, if I were in any of those states, I would likely feel kind of smug that my state Democratic Party wasn't run by a bunch of asshole gorillas, and revel in the fact that I get to vote in the Primary.

2. No for years MI Dems have been sick of the
b.s. that NH thinks it is ordained by god to get a disproportionate voice. There is no call to change the Jan 15 primary. And the Detroit Free Press said in an editorial The four Dems' who pulled out, hurt their party, and Michigan.

3. It's a good thing Richardson pulled out of MI`
Today, he called for the Great Lakes States sharing water with Nevada. Screw him. One dissing of Mich was not enough. He were to come back he might get tared and feathered.

6. I was talking about the Dems in the OTHER states.
I understand what you are saying about it not being fair and that NH and Iowa get a disproportinate voice. BUT, everyone agreed to the rules. If Michigan or Florida Democratic Parties had a problem with the new dates and new rules, they should have STATED that instead of agreeing to the rules and then saying "FUCK YOU DNC".

It was NOT the right way to correct this wrong.

4. The people in those states don't live for being first though.
I doubt it matters much at all to those voters compared to the feeling of inherent privilege the Iowa and NH voters seem to think they deserve.

5. The whole system is screwy
So lets get all maudlin for Idaho Democrats. Do they come near the end of the primary season. Not fair to them their state should be so irrevelent . As would be the case with New Hampshire if it were last. All candidates need equal air time and the nation vote as a whole. One person, one vote. no one first. The business interests of New Hampshire love national TV cameras roaming their normally empty diners come January , non presidential years.
