strange new respect, an increasing sense of inevitability, a "Tier of Her Own", etc. etc. etc.

This Goregasm amuses me. All the anti-Hillary people are salivating at the idea that Al Gore will run (which he will not.) After all the threads and all the posts touting their own particular saviors (Obama, Edwards, Kucinich, etc.) they are more than willing to throw them all over and call for Gore. If Gore enters (which he won't) who will take the biggest hit? All the anti-Hillary candidates. He'll suck the oxygen out of their campaigns. It would end up as Gore vs. Clinton. And Hillary would be respectful enough (but not too respectful) and fight him. And win.

Booyah!

17. That is the face she had as she spread Bushs propaganda to...
go to war with Iraq, why are so many proud of someone that helped push an illegal war? It baffles me that people have just forgot what she did in 2002, I bet the families of the dead haven't. There was no evidence to risk all the lives and she stood up and used her clout to support the war she claims is his.Good luck to our country if she is the president, we are in for a rough ride. Take your booyah attitude to the innocent Iraqis and the families of our soldiers and see how ignorant you look. She is not fit to make decisions for our children's future, 2002 shows that loud and clear with a huge debt and thousands of lives lost!

19. Can you show me where
she said that regardless of what happens with Iraq inspections and the UN that we need to invade Iraq? Otherwise take your slurs and booyah attitude back to Edwards or Kerry or any other of the Dems that voted for the IWR or made any strong statements about forcing Hussein to yield to UN inspections and see how ignorant you look. Cause a major part of the Dem party is unfit to make decisions according to you.

23. I am pretty sure that no president is allowed to go to war without...
congress giving him the power to. Instead of looking at the facts and seeing that there was NO evidence to go to war with Iraq, Clinton decided to use her power in politics to spread the same bullshit propaganda that George Bush was to push for an illegal war. Now I don't know what her agenda was in wanting to giveaway her part of the congress' power and give a yes vote instead of a no until there was some kind of proof but you would have to be IGNORANT to ignore the facts. I would have no war gripe if she didn't vote yes to an illegal war, continue to fund it and then turn around and say this is Bush's war. That is not a sign of a true leader of the people of the United States, that is someone with an agenda that doesn't support truth and the facts. With no evidence at hand, this was the type of propaganda that Clinton and Bush were pushing:

In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members, though there is apparently no evidence of his involvement in the terrible events of September 11, 2001.

It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons. Should he succeed in that endeavor, he could alter the political and security landscape of the Middle East, which as we know all too well affects American security.

And perhaps my decision is influenced by my eight years of experience on the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue in the White House watching my husband deal with serious challenges to our nation. I want this President(That would be Evil Bush), or any future President, TO BE IN THE STRONGEST POSSIBLE POSITION TO LEAD OUR COUNTRY in the United Nations OR IN WAR. Secondly, I want to insure that Saddam Hussein makes no mistake about our national unity and for our support for the President's efforts to wage America's war against terrorists and weapons of mass destruction.

Now why would you vote to give power to George Bush to go to war with no evidence? What exactly was her agenda, I know that allot of corporations have been making a killing in profits from this war, could that have something to do with it? If she would have listened to the so called unelectable Dennis Kucinich and used her power to spread the truth, maybe we wouldn't be in this war. I know that everyone says that she has allot of power and can get people to follow her lead, too bad she didn't use that so called power to lead for the truth so the lives wouldn't have been lost. What was her agenda then and what will her agenda be in the oval office?

Any member of the congress with sense should never bypass the system and blindly give away the war power that they hold. She is no leader of the people and should not be in control of our children's future!

24. Its like talking to a brick wall
I'm sure you feel the same toward me. Maybe one day you will realize that people make mistakes, and by that I mean that the only mistake she made was to not look at the intelligence more critically.

25. Please look at the results of the mistake, I dont want something...
like this to ever take place again and possibly affect my children's future. I haven't seen her stand up and take responsibility or even explain why she made her decision, what was it that made her give up the power she controlled as a member of congress. On top of that to vote for the Kyle-Lieberman amendment just makes me think that we are once again helping the war drums have some substance. Again, I don't feel this way for my own sake, its for my children's and I cant look at what has taken place and make a vote for Clinton without having a feeling that I am destroying my own family's future.

I guess we can agree to disagree on this one and hope for the best.

26. Take issue with a couple things here
Edited on Sat Oct-13-07 06:49 PM by Jim4Wes
When a President ask Congress for authorization to go to war thats a pretty serious thing. It requires a serious consideration on the merits. I believe all the Dems that voted on the IWR gave it exactly that, it is evidenced by the fact there were conditions written into the resolution. You keep saying they gave up their power. I don't think that makes sense as much as I have heard it, and as many times as it is repeated. The decision was made to make a real threat of war. It wouldn't work if it wasn't real. Either way we were either going to force full compliance with UN resolutions or we would have eventually resorted to similar tactics Clinton used in the 90's to keep some control of him.

As for not letting this ever happen again, the answer to that is quite plain. Don't put psychos in the Whitehouse that twist intelligence to start wars.
