What Would You Like Me to Ask Nancy Pelosi?

On Monday, I'm going to be videotaping an exclusive HuffPost interview with Nancy Pelosi. And I'd love your input on what questions I should ask. This will be an informal conversation with the Speaker, an opportunity to delve into the personal as well as the political. Of course, we'll talk about Iraq, SCHIP, FISA, and the other critical issues facing Congress as she heads into the home stretch of her first year as Speaker. But I also want to find out how she balances all her different roles, how she recharges herself, how she manages to get enough -- any -- sleep, and whether she really prays for George Bush. Let me know what questions you'd like me to ask by posting them in the comments section of this post.

Yes, the first person to post a comment asks about "off the table"...as do several others...I don't see how Arianna can avoid that one unless she simply decides to avoid it.

2. here's my question
Edited on Sat Oct-13-07 08:56 AM by MissWaverly
Since Nancy won't listen to people like me, why should I donate my money to elect more Nancy Pelosis who won't
support my core beliefs and what I believe the democratic party should do? I think of myself as an FDR democrat
and Nancy does not speak for me and the Congress doesn't speak for me in enabling George Bush and mocking
people like me.

6. she seems to have an agenda and the war is just in the way---she pushes it aside but it
always comes back to haunt her.

8. You can't have an agenda with a run amok prez
Edited on Sat Oct-13-07 10:23 AM by MissWaverly
that's why everything has to be veto proof, that's ridiculous, when the Pukes were running things they were lucky to
get 50 votes and that was only with their arm twisting and pork barrel bribes, Cheney often had to cast the tie breaking
vote, now we have Dems in majority but they can only pass legislation with a 2/3 vote once the bill heads to Lieberman Land.
All this kowtowing to a man who stole 2 elections and started an illegal war. The only way to do anything is to impeach and get the truth out, the momentum will build its own steam. The Pukes aren't stupid, they will not sacrifice their own sweet selves for a lame duck prez and a vp who is not running.

as necessary and she has no right to take them off the table!

7. Madame Speaker, Why won't you move forward
on the subpoenas and contempt of congress resolutions that John Conyers' and Henry Waxman's committees have generated? Don't you believe that the Congress has a right to oversee the extra-constitutional activities of this administration? Doesn't your reluctance undermine the perogatives of the Congress as set forth in the Constitution?
