Thanks to Terry McAuliffe's hurried-up primary schedule. There ain't as much time left as you might think.

January 13 - District of Columbia
January 19 - Iowa
January 27 - New Hampshire
February 3 – Delaware, South Carolina, Missouri, Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, North Dakota
February 7 - Michigan, Washington
February 8 - Maine
February 10 - Virginia, Tennessee
February 17 - Wisconsin
February 24 - Idaho
February 27 - Utah
March 2 – California, Connecticut, Georgia, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, Vermont

(On edit: Texas moved to March 9th. Thanks, mermaid.)

1. Correction
Texas will by March 9, thanks to Tom Delay and his stupid Redistricting plan. We can't get in in time for Super Tuesday now.

and, despite the fact the map clearly violates the Voting Rights Act, it will probably pass the bought and paid for judicial review system.

And it tears apart my community (Travis County - Austin) into three whispers instead of one strong, unified LIBERAL voice.

3. Looks like a formula for a Dean win...
Nice and solid, but who knows, perhaps it's a recipe for a Clark comeback...

6. Here's How We Win Without The South
Edited on Mon Dec-29-03 12:23 PM by mermaid
We take the following states, very do-able, by the way...

AZ CA CT DC DE HI IL MA MD MI MN NH NJ NM NV NY OR PA RI VT WA WI WV

Final tally 272

Screw the South. Buncha conservo-creep Rethugs anyway. Who needs 'em? They're brainwashed, anyway!

You'll carefully note, in my above scenario, I didn't even give FL to our guy.

Oh, and before anyone throws a hissy fit, note carefully that I am a Southerner.

I just know the realities...and, guess what? The Presidency can be won without the South.

I still intend to vote for the Dem. candidate, whoever that may be (hopefully Dean) even though I know full well that, as a resident of Texas, my vote isn't gonna mean squat, because our 32 votes are going to W whether I like it or not.

8. That's the way it usually is. It is a poor system.
We need to move to regional primaries.
