If Hillary gets the nomination...
I hope she crushes the Republican nominee. Same with Edwards, Obama (of course), Kucinich, Biden, Dodd, Richardson etc.

I'm sick of Republican rule over this country. I'm sick of the twisted things that our government has done in the name of fighting "terra". I'm sick of being stuck in Iraq. I'm sick of constant attacks on gay rights, minority rights. I'm sick of torture and the aboslute MONSTERS who defend the practice (makes me SICK to my stomach). I'm sick of our jobs flying overseas. I'm sick of not having universal health care. I'm sick of the constant erosion of our constitutional liberty.

Once this primary is over, let's put our eyes on the prize and sprint toward it, not stopping until it is won.

13. There's two people to add
to the ignorant list.

The fact is, Clinton is likely to get the nomination. Voting for somebody else will only ensure that Romney or Giuliani becomes president.

I'm so fucking sick of the idiot purists who let this country go to hell because they refuse to compromise.

14. Absolutely the right message!!
The GOP is dooming itself primarily with its insistence on continuing the Iraq folly and offering virtually no new domestic ideas. The paramount object is to crush the GOP with a VERY tough campaign in '08, sticking Bush/Cheney to every goddamn one of their candidates at every level up and down the ticket. If Democrats unite and run a solid, focused, aggressive, NATIONAL campaign in ALL 50 states (God bless Howard Dean!), then we win bigtime including the Presidency and EVEN if Hillary is the nominee. If Hillary does win the nomination, we ALL MUST rally around her. I am not saying her candidacy is inevitable (we must STRONGLY support whomever is the nominee), however she is the clear front-runner and stands a good chance of becoming the nominee. If she is nominated, she will run a tough, disciplined campaign with a very tough team and, of course, with Bill (one of the best campaigners in the history of American politics) as a senior advisor and team-mate. She would be a VERY formidable candidate. But the general election with Hillary at the top would admittedly be a tough fight as the GOP nasty-machine will make it all about her and NOT about the real issues. They will make the Willy Horton ads, the Max Cleland ad attacks, and the Swift Boat Liars ads look like a tiptoe through the tulips. So we better get ready to rumble and go into this next cycle firmly united, very focused, ready to on OFFENSE (fighting FORWARD, not just "fighting back") and entirely prepared to kick some major GOP ass because it's going to be one hell of a brawl. And, in the end, if we all do our jobs right, we'll re-take the White House, add 5-6 Senate seats, maintain or increase the lead in the House of Reps, and make gains at state and local levels all around the country. It's a "change" election cycle coming out of one of the darkest periods in American history, and this country wants change BIGTIME! Our task is to make people understand why we Dems ARE the right change. We need to offer bold new ideas while also attacking the hell out of the BACKWARDS, NO-NEW-IDEAS, MORE-OF-THE-SAME, BUSH/CHENEY-CLONE ReThuglican Party!! Now let's get it done!

16. Any Dem will give us more space in which to fight for our issues--
--even if they are more on the side of corporations than people. And s/he will certainly throw a few bones to us in the line of social policy, which will benefit real people.

Still, even though I'll eventually accept a kitten, I'm going to keep asking for a pony.

18. But we'll have to spend the next eight years fighting off the Hillary-haters.
That'll be depressing--having our own people trotting over here every morning with the latest Fox News smears against her. I really hope they leave the party, like they keep threatening to do.
