2. It's all BS
If we can't do anything * might use against us, then we should do nothing

* can lie about anything. If he can lie about K/L and say it authorizes war, then he can lie and say that raising the minimum wage authorizes war. I don't know why any progressive would let * determine their positions

3. Just admit it was a dumb vote on her part, and move on--instead of trying to defend it.
All candidates screw up at some point. She screwed this one up. It's not politically fatal, for God's sake--just an ill-advised vote. Obama should have been there to vote, and Hillary should have voted no, because Joe Lieberman does not make amendments concerning Iran without coordination with the White House--and Hillary must know that. Therefore it's bad legislation that gives Chimpy just a little bit more room to maneuver. End of story.

4. Very true
Nonetheless I wish Hillary would call out the Republicans on their unnecessary warmongering. Hell I wish Obama would be more vocal about it, as well.

8. The more reason why it was WRONG for Hillary & Co to vote "Yes" on the resolution
Edited on Mon Oct-22-07 08:58 PM by IndianaGreen
Even if the vote didn't matter, why did they vote for war?

9. Hillary's supporters know how to even push away those who'd like to support her.
They are doing her no favors these days.

11. Another gem from the "sez you" network
Not having it might have slowed him up a tad. You don't know. What's worse is that you don't know that you don't have this particular answer.

It's a handy little statement; now you can stand amid the aftermath and absolve Senator Clinton from any complicity or lack of resistance in the face of further positioning from a known serial crusader. Aaaaah, he woulda done it anyway, she didn't help any.

You simply don't know that.

If people had stood up and flailed Lieberface silly with frilly bras and crotchless underwear, the "senselessness of the Senate" might never have seen the light of day in any form at all. You don't know what will happen or what this version of the past might have brought to bear on it. You just don't know.

Covering Senator Clinton's ass in the hypothetical instance of massive death and destruction is not a worthy endeavor; it's a chickenshit attempt at pre-emptive absolution.

12. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on Hillary.
She knows better than to trust Bush. If this is an example of her good judgment, then we need to find someone else.
