Rasmussen-Clinton-49 Obama -22 Edwards 12
In the race for the Democratic Presidential Nomination, little has changed. Clinton attracts 49% support and continues to enjoy a commanding lead over Barack Obama, who earns the vote from 22%. John Edwards attracts 12% and no other candidate attracts more than 3% support from Likely Democratic Primary Voters (see recent daily numbers).

1. Great another meaningless poll.
Just like Howard Dean was our nominee in 2004, huh?

I really pay attention to these things...

5. Kerry Made Up A Seven Point Deficit
Not a twenty seven point deficit

Do you have a point?

7. That national polls, especially right now, are absolutely meaningless.
Howard Dean was the clear and definite winner once.

10. How Does A Four Point Lead Which Is Barely Outside The Margin Of Error Make You A Clear And Definite
Winner?

11. A big difference is that Kerry and Dean were unknowns. Hillary
is well known and yet the more her competitors are exposed, her numbers continue to increase

Denial is a coping mechanism, but it doesn't help one deal with reality.

12. And being well known means what again?
Edited on Tue Oct-23-07 10:46 AM by Kerry2008
Stephen Colbert is well known. So is he going to win South Carolina? Actually that's a pretty hilarious example. LOL.

I'm not in denial. Like Hillary has said, no voters have voted. She hasn't won anything yet. Dean was surging in polls and leading in fundraising too. Where did that land him?

4. Back in Jan it was pretty close for the top 3. Obama and Edwards
are now stagnant and back where they began. I think Edwards has lost ground

Hillary has doubled her Jan approval ranking. She has steadily increased over time

This is a very good thing

6. Ah, I respect your candidate and your choice.
Edited on Tue Oct-23-07 10:38 AM by Kerry2008
But if you look at this point in 2003, Dean was leading and Kerry was in fourth place only four points above "I have no chance" Al Sharpton. Like Hillary herself said, the voters haven't voted. She hasn't won anything, just yet. And while leading polls is something to be optimistic about it, I don't think it's smart to rely on them to suggest your candidate is the definite winner.

But anyways, should be a good election. If Hillarys wins, you won't see any bitching from me :)

9. A Poll Is A Mere Snapshot
The race hasn't begun yet but if this was a football game Hillary would be the Colts or the Patriots and her opponents would be the Dolphins or Rams...

14. Hey now!! I'm from Missouri, what are you trying to say about the Rams?
Edited on Tue Oct-23-07 10:48 AM by Kerry2008
LOL.

I just don't buy into polls this much. Never have. Especially not national ones. If you want to say she's leading in state by state, it'd be the true. And I wouldn't fight you on it, she is. But when people post these national polls, I just don't get it. Why not point out where she's leading in the states that matter?

I am a Dolphins fan...

We might be the only team to have a perfect season (14-0) and an imperfect season (0-16)...

If you check out the state polls I believe she's leading in more than forty five of them including IA and NH... She trails by a bit in IL and NV I believe...

17. I'm aware of her lead in state by state polls, and I commend you for pointing them out.
I believe they matter more than national polls.

But I wouldn't say she's leading in Iowa. I know she's ahead in the polls there, but the lead is so small that I think things are close. Not that she couldn't pull it off, but it's VERY close. And she even knows that. Wasn't it just the other day she said she isn't the frontrunner in Iowa? It's true, no one is. Iowa is open for anyone to win.

NH, however, is Hillary country.
