Poll question: Let me be blunt...Bidenesque, if you like.
Edited on Wed Oct-24-07 10:08 PM by calteacherguy
I've always respected Biden for his straight talk irregardless of the politcal correctness, so I'll offer some of mine.

A white male will not win the Democratic nomination this year. The historical moment will not allow it.

1. And here I was thinking it was because we were tired of presidents...
whose last name begins with the letter "B".

9. What historical moment
will not allow a white male to win the election? What does gender or color have to do with being nominated? Is there a critical need for a woman or colored candi ate?

10. Race and gender don't mean a thing to me. I look at the person, not their skin color or their
gender. Yeah - I notice, but to me it is pretty superficial stuff. I'm more interested in what I see when I look into someone's eyes, their body language, and what they are saying.

But that's me. Sometimes I wonder if ma and pa living in Podunk, KA is ready for a woman or an African-American to be president.
I feel like this whole religious movement on the right has set us back years in equality.

That said, the worst thing that could happen is to elect a President just because they will be the first woman, or the first black.
