Why are not ALL Democratic candidates putting the Webb bill front and center of their campaigns?
Edited on Thu Oct-25-07 07:48 PM by calteacherguy
Is there ANYTHING more important? Why are they all not promoting the Webb bill to require congressional authorization for military action against Iran on the homepages of their websites? Why are All our Democratic candidates not yet meeting together at a joint news conference to endorse this legislation and call upon the American people to call their senators and representatives? Why is Hillary Clinton, a co-sponsor of the legislation, not speaking about it at every campaign event more vociferously?

WHY? WHY? WHY?

1. Because Their Job Is To Suck A Little Less Than The Rethugs
All the Dems need to do is stay oh-so-slightly to the left of the Rethugs, and they'll get elected by the bushel. Because, who else are we gonna vote for?

Suck it up.

3. a comment

First, I support the Webb amendment and there is a Clark supporter group that is working on getting it more attention. I plan to participate.

But I honestly don't see any clear signal Bush wants to attack Iran, there are threats, but it does not look like another Iraq war drum situation to me. Even if he does, I do not see him getting even 40% of the country to agree. I wonder if there are polls on that, if so I missed them.

Finally, I believe this K/L vote is all politics, and if there was a real concern the BushCo war machine was gearing up, that you would see more serious action on this Webb amendment or something similar.
