Message to Clinton and Obama supporters
Kerry isn't in the primary. Your candidate can't run against his 2004 campaign.

That is all.

1. Yes, this avoids having to talk about issues.

Like, uh, why did you vote for the Kyl-Lieberman amendment?

2. I don't know why this is coming up now.
Why open old wounds, when we're well on the way to opening brand new ones in this primary.

3. Message to Kerry supporters:
Your guy was unelectable, just as was predicted on DU in 2003.

10. That's not quite fair.
According to DU in 2003, absolutely everyone was unelectable. No matter who got the nod, there would have been people waiting to say "Told you so" if they lost. Dean had no foreign credentials. Edwards was too inexperienced and shallow. Kerry was boring, looked like a chewed pencil, and had a dubious record. Clark had no domestic experience. Kucinich was a little socialist imp. Gephardt was a glass of lukewarm skim milk with flesh-colored hair. Lieberman was a hideous troll of a DINO. Gore was a proven loser.

Basically, according to the general consensus of DU circa 2003, everyone sucked (except the candidate of the given poster).

8. I wondered what this was about
Then I looked at the topic list.

Some people need to get a life.

And, if they really wanted to help Clinton, I don't think they'd be playing these games.

9. Just curious - why are you including Obama supporters in your title?
Edited on Sun Oct-28-07 10:50 PM by DemFemme
The only flamebait thread on the GDP homepage was started by one of Her Royal Highness' loyal hatchet man.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I didn't see any Obama supporters contributing to it. I agree with you 100% btw.

13. Well hell! I do not think, well hell I know the HRC
campaign is not running their campaign anyway close to Kerrys. Hell, they want to win that is the first thing different, and anytime you have Bob Strum anywhere close to your campaign then you are in big trouble.....The only thing I have said about Kerry is the following:Question: Of all the people screaming at Her today, how many gave Kerry a pass for his vote in 2004? Gee, suddenly the room got reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeal quiet.Let's have a show of hands - who forgave Kerry in 2004 for his Iraq vote, but now hates Hillary's f-ing guts for voting exactly the same way he did?

Explain why Kerry got a pass on the Iraq war vote - but she doesn't.And when asked the question: If you knew then what you know now would you still send troops? Hillary answered NO! What did Kerry answer? As clear as day standing at the grand canyon and Kerry answered. YES!....That was Kerrys downfall.....and that damn silly ass wind surfing sure did not help and that sugar coated convention was also a damn mistake....

As I said HRC is in this to win and set America back on a path that Bushit was handed on January 20th 2001....

18. Kerry '04: the campaign that *still* leaves the taste of expired milk
Be that as it may, Kerry 2004 can impart important lessons.

A) Don't try to crawl up the ass of the pro-war right wing. "I'm John Kerry, and I'm reporting for duty"--?! No, you're John Kerry, and you just made any progressive supporting you throw up in her mouth.

B) Don't go around telling American workers that globalism's globalism, so they have to lump it. Because they hear that from their economic masters every day. Your job is to find solutions and inspire hope -- not give simpering lessons in neo-liberalism that aid elites in screwing labor.

C) Don't try to be all Clintonian things to all people. Only one slippery fellow from Hope at one unique moment in political history with the aid of a reptile like Dick Morris, a stock bubble and a fading Boomer generation short on principle and long on Prozac can get away with that shit.

D) Don't try to be Mr. Action Figure, fitting your ridiculous lanky frame into Ski Holiday Costume one minute and Real Authentic Hunter Man Wear the next. I mean, that's just begging for a swiftboating.

E) Do try -- try, you groveling worm! -- not to sell every inch of your soul to the corporations and the defense industries. What's left over from your obeisance to the money power and empire is what, after all, we're trying to work up the stomach to vote for.
