IA Poll (ARG): Edwards campaign near complete collapse? / HRC 32%, BO 22%, JE 15%
http://americanresearchgroup.com/pres08/iadem8-711.html
ARG IA Poll October (September) (August)

Clinton 32% (+2) (+4)
Obama 22% (-2) (-1)
Edwards 15% (-4) (-5)
Richardson 7% (-3) (-6)
Biden 5% (+2) (+4)
Dodd 2% (+1) (+1)
Kucinich 1% (nc) (-2)
Gravel -% (nc) (nc)
Undecided 16% (+3) (+5)

- - - - -

At his peak in March, Edwards was polling at 33%, and in June he was at 29% Today, his numbers are half of what they were in June. Is his status as a frontrunner over? IMHO, I would say yes.

7. Or he could be at 19%, similar to the other IA poll
With 16% undecided. If he gets even a third of that he will become competitive again.

15. yup, that undecided % really stands out for me
.. both the 16% value in itself, and especially the fact that the undecided % is going UP. I think (hope!) that Iowa caucuses will yield some real surprises. Among other things, I'd like to see all those overpayed, overconfident Talking Heads with egg all over their stupid faces.

16. If he takes public financing he has to spend it right now...all of it???? I think he
is timing his media buys for when they will have the most impact and when people will be paying the most attention.

How sad that they do encourage some voters to jump on the bandwagon.

19. It doesn't say what the expected turnout the poll is assuming.
That makes a significant difference.

20. I sincerely hope and pray that Edwards and his supporters put their
votes behind Obama. That is the ONE chance we have at beating HRC. I sure hope that we can set aside our differences? Edwards would make an excellent VP and later perhaps President? .... Yeah, I'm sucking up --- but it makes sense (Obama/Edwards), no?

21. Isn't it great!
Just go on over to pollster.com and take a look at some of the latest general election matchup polls and see how she's STILL doing against Guiliani. Isn't it great that the Democrats are so hell bent on nominating someone even John McCain beats in some places. Yes, the Democrats should really be celebrating. :eyes:
