Hillary Clinton"I am not going to balance Social Security on the backs
of seniors and hardworking middle-class Americans."

1. Have any of the Democratic contenders proposed balancing Social Security on the backs of seniors and hardworking middle-class Americans?

2. Isn't it dirty politics to imply that they have?

3. In context, it sounds as if she is suggesting that that is what
Obama is proposing.

6. All she has to do is add the phrase "like the Republicans".
Why doesn't she make herself clearer?

9. Maybe he thinks their approaches are different?
Maybe he thinks he's a better choice than Hillary and doesn't think running as a me-too is the best strategy?

5. For better or worse, HRC's playing to a broader audience than Dem primary voters...
Soc. Sec reform is a topic ALL Dems get vastly more support than Republicans.

ALL our candidates should be saying this whenever possible.

7. I thought her answer was based mostly on not doing what the Repukes
would do. It was an appropriate comment for someone running for the nomination. Everyone behaved that way.

10. Yes and No
Raising the FICA limit hurts middle class families. Raising the age hurts middle class families. Cutting benefits hurts middle class families.

"All options are on the table" candidates are willing to balance SS on the backs of the middle class
