I would be far more liberal with illegal immigrants currently in the country than she would be...

I am for gay marriage, although I understand the political barriers to advocating that in a campaign...

I disagree with him on not feeling comfortable with gays, but I am not even sure that is what he said to Shrum. It is hard for me to disagree with Edwards.

Gay marriage.

I would like to see the existing system begin to make necessary reforms prior to a new Democratic president, if we are lucky enough to elect one in 2008, and if Edwards happens to be that Democrat.

Not disputing the individual points Krugman makes in his praise, only suggesting that the system needs to begin to heal itself before any new president's specific points can be optimally effective, whether Edwards' or anyone else's.

Second, while many voters are "uneasy" about same-sex desire, same-sex relationships, and same-sex marriage, and I realize the political consequence of insisting on a fair landscape for all citizens, it would please me if Edwards could endorse a more delineated support for same-sex Americans.

I do realize that the nation's cultural acceptance is uneven. What is acceptable in Austin or Madison is considerably less so in more conservative cities. 'Am aware of the uneven demographics but feel it would be very instructive to confront the far right on its Phelps contingent.

His attack of Hillarys K/L Vote - I think you don't stop doing your job because of what junior might try and twist into authorization. I believe it to be wise for congress to point out, publicly, what Iran is doing. And I also believe if junior attacks Iran it will be for other reasons than the non-binding K/L vote. It would be most likely done on Israels behalf, in some form or another.

His stance on marijuana - I don't smoke, but I think its stupid for marijuana cases to be filling up our judicial system. Legalize it and tax it.

The issue of gay marriage is also important - but I honestly believe it's most important right now, to make sure there are equal legal rights for gay couples, and I think that it's most achievable, at this point in time, as support for civil unions.

I don't agree with his opposition to gay marriage and I would like him to have agree with Dodd about decriminalizing marijuana. Decriminalization would definitely help with crowded prisons.

As a gay voter, obviously gay marriage. I'm comfortable thought with his positions on gay rights, and believe he'll be a champion of equal rights for all. I don't know if this is necessarily an issue, but something to do with an issue. But I didn't like his vote on IWR, but I understand he's admitted it was a mistake and has said it was wrong to go to war. And he's been a vocal cheerleader against the war, and I'm sure he'll do everything as President to end the war.

Nuclear power, cannabis decriminalization, capital punishment.
