DECEMBER 5th: Florida vs. DNC
http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2007/11/01/443465.aspx

From NBC’s Domenico Montanaro

Set your calendar, a federal judge set Dec. 5 hearing date in Tallahassee for Florida Sen. Bill Nelson’s and Rep. Alcee Hastings’ lawsuit against the DNC for stripping the state of all of its delegates.

“Rather than a sham, our laws and democratic values demand that voting be meaningful,'' Nelson and Hastings wrote in a motion to be filed tomorrow.

Nelson’s Senate office wrote in a release, “Earlier this week, the DNC asked Judge Robert Hinkle to dismiss Nelson's lawsuit. DNC attorneys argued that the state party could have held a caucus after the Jan. 29 primary to choose delegates to the national convention. But Nelson and others have said a caucus in a state as populated and geographically large as Florida also would disenfranchise voters, and cost millions more on top of the primary.”

1. Nelson turned it into a racist thing. I am sorry this had to happen.
Nelson is out for Dean's blood. And not a single Florida blogger is taking up for the DNC even though they know the whole story.

Nelson is using the racial thing in his lawsuit.

3. I will leave the state and county parties over this.
I think the DNC is correct, because as Dean says he has to represent all the states, not just Michigan and Florida.

If people think it makes the national party look bad, why do you think that is? Oh, wait, I know....the media tells you so.

5. There would have been no infighting if Dean had given in to Florida.
Now that would have solved everything, wouldn't it?

Just give in and be accused of pandering to Florida.

There have been so many lies, and no one cares, and no one bothers to see it.

8. I'm Leaving Too... But With An Added Caveat... I'm Sick Of Being
PUSHED around! The media and the people pushing certain candidates ON US is UN-Democratic!!

I have no where else to turn, so I'll have to become and Independent, which is like being a non-person to some extent because IF there's a Primary, I can't vote!
