My morning WTF? moment--Naomi Wolf on Randi, didn't know about Greenwald?
It's not a knock against Naomi Wolf at all, but rather this retarded excuse for "mass media" that we have for an information distribution system.

I was hearing a podcast of Randi's 11/1/07 show (available here):

http://server7.whiterosesociety.org/content/rhodes/RhodesShow-(1-11-2007).mp3

and it was around the 1 hr 15 min mark that Randi was explaining what prompted Col. Boylan, General Petraus' mouthpiece, to email Glenn Greenwald and start that very disturbing sequence of denials that, I thought, the whole left-blogosphere knew about, and which ought to be a major news story at this point.

But Naomi hadn't heard.

That, to me, is just astonishing. There is no way that should be happening. And it's disturbing for more reasons than I care to recount right now.

Anyone else think I'm nuts to read too much into this? ('Cause maybe I am...)

PS: If you're not familiar with the Greenwald/Boylan thing, yourself:

5. Yet the thread, she is dying. Perhaps if I'd titled it something provocative, like...
CAN I HAZ HILLARY HATIN'??

3. I think someone like Wolf would be spending more time on their own work
rather than keeping up on work the work of others. That's my take anyway. I wouldn't read too much into it.

4. I know she's busy. It was much more a knock against the media.

Recall that during Petraus' testimony, it was all-SURGE-iz-WORKING all the time. The official sideshow story was that the Moveon.org ad was dangerous and hurt "troop morale," yadda yadda.

Here we have proof positive that Petraus' organization is whacked, and there's absolutely NOTHING about it in the mainstream press. Yesterday I went to news.google.com and used the keywords "Boylan Greenwald" and got a total of seven hits. Seven. All at the salon.com level and well below.

(on edit: )

just went back. woo-hoo, we're up to Ten! Whole! Hits!

Editor and Publisher gots our backs! This changes everything!

6. That may be the case.... She certainly seemed surprised
that Randi and her callers were well versed on the issues... I think Naomi has done her own research and is largely insulated from the parallel investigative work of others. Hopefully, there will be some outreach that bridges the work of others...
