2. Oh, Jesus Christ. Didn't 2000 knock *any* sense into your head?
Or do you still believe that there's no difference between Bush and Gore?

6. I didn't vote for Gore because rightly or wrongly I saw him as continuing the
Clinton legacy. Bush uses renditions, but Clinton set up the system. Am I supposed to applaud because Clinton only sent a few people out to be tortured?

I believe that the Kang v Kodos theme emerged in response to the Clinton v Dole match-up.

7. That was a common belief, yeah.
And nobody would ask you to applaud or even excuse Clinton's failings. But to not vote for Gore because of that is throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Had just 1% of the hundred thousand Florida Nader votes gone to Gore instead, Bush wouldn't have happened--and neither would have Iraq, gitmo, Abu Ghraib, extraordinary renditions, secret prisons, tax cuts, loosened pollution controls, etc., etc., etc.

10. How many of these things were already happening or already
started under Clinton? We were bombing Iraq on regular basis during Clinton's administration. The secret prisons, the extraordinary renditions? they were happening under Clinton. How much did CLinton do that made it easier for George to take the next step?

12. I'd like to think he wouldn't have. On the other hand, he did have Lieberman
as his VP nominee. We have respectable people like Senator Clinton suggesting that they might have to consider torture as a possibility in certain circumstances. Who knows what he would have allowed himself to get boxed into?

22. I see.
That is why her top advisor's are ex mercenaries. I wondered about that. So they are pacifist ex mercenaries? OK. The troops are for peace keeping unless things get ugly then they can shoot again. Right?

16. Kodos could grow up and add a hippy plank or two to his platform in order to win
...but he'll probably just whine about how those mean voters didn't give him the votes he was entitled to, and blame them for everything Kang does.

It worked so well the last two times, y'know?
