Why in blazing hell would two Democratic Senators from blue states support the nomination as AG of a man who can't admit that it is?

Jesus wept, even as a purely political matter divorced from all moral questions, it doesn't make a damned bit of sense - this is a lame-duck president whose approval has been dropping like a rock and who got his electoral ass handed to him a year ago.
