1. Cause he's the closest to Kucinich, while still being considered
"electable".

13. That was my first thought, but who ever uses actblue? I donate directly when I donate.

20. Yeah, Edwards supporters might be more concerned to support progressive infrastructure.
Regarding ActBlue in general, Edwards has the option to donate either through an in-house link or an ActBlue link on his homepage, but from what I recall, on the supporters blog site, hosted by the campaign, the link goes through ActBlue.

That may have been by popular demand, to support progressive netroots infrastructure ... I know that Kissell was very popular on the site during the 2006 campaign back when it was the OneAmericaCommittee Blog, and ActBlue was useful in his campaign.

2. My guess is that only Edwards folks would use Act Blue
Rather than directly to the campaigns. Read the line at the bottom.

My donations only go straight to Hillary's campaign. Not to a third party.

12. I've donated directly to his campaign and through Act Blue
Skinner asked us to go through the DU Act Blue page, so I do that from time to time.

And I think this whole thing just shows the national media has no clue who really has the support of grass roots democrats.

17. Me too.
I just link to the donation page from whatever e-mail I get asking for donations. It doesn't go through Act Blue.

3. Those patterns look almost random, in comparison to perceived support
Edited on Tue Nov-06-07 06:29 PM by muriel_volestrangler
either on DU, or overall. Edwards has over 10 times the overall donations of the next highest - which is Richardson. Meanwhile , Dodd comfortably outraises Clinton, and isn't that far off Obama.

15. Nice try
But Clinton gets money from Federal Lobbyists whose full time job is to influence status quo and corporate welfare.

21. Reading such mean spirited spin tends to intensify my support.
If you REALLY want to undermine Edwards, you should try criticism that is smart, or at least plausible.

8. I've given to Kucinich, Clinton, Biden, Richardson, Clark, & Obama
I'd never give a cent to Fauxgressive Johnny Edwards, and I want a refund from Barack Donnie McObama.

9. Air America does a quick poll every Friday and...
often it's Edwards as the winner followed by Kucinich
It's repeated often that Hillary's in the lead and she's going to win.
I don't believe that. I really question how they get their data.

Setting aside the verb and one of the nouns you chose, do you believe the netroots are wrong?

Are there many like you in your union who support Edwards despite it endorsing Clinton?

18. Oh ya

In my plant (my local covers 3/4 of the state), nobody I have talked to is happy with the AFSCME endorsement of Senator Clinton. Remember I am in a red and right to work state.

19. Edwards is constistently underrated by the corp. media
He's not in bed with the corporations so he's not "viable."

Like hell he's not....I think he'd have a lot of appeal in the south and among rural voters, as well as big city folks like me.
