GOP punishes five early voting states
It is not just the Democrats.

GOP punishes five early voting states

WASHINGTON - Rebelling Republicans in five states will push ahead with early nominating contests, undeterred by party leaders' decision Thursday to punish them by excluding half their convention delegates.

Seeking to restore order to a chaotic primary calendar, GOP Chairman Mike Duncan said New Hampshire, Florida, South Carolina, Michigan and Wyoming would lose delegates to next summer's national convention for violating party rules against holding nominating contests before Feb. 5.

"No one wants to be in a position to penalize anyone, but our rules are self-enforcing," Duncan told reporters. "They give me no options."

Iowa, which plans to hold Republican caucuses on Jan. 3, would not be penalized because, technically, the caucuses are not binding on convention delegates. Nevada, which plans to hold its caucuses on Jan. 19, would not be penalized for the same reason.

1. They want to run against Hillary......
They see Richardson doing well enough up till Nevada and then his anti war message catching on. They want the media to be able to appoint HRC right after Iowa.

The polls don't make sense. 70 percent in this country want the troops home yet HRC is leading. It doesn't make sense.

3. we need to adopt
either the Delaware or the California plan for primaries/caucuses. End this constant stupid leapfrogging to be first.

But until then the state parties that violate the the current rules, that were accepted at the last national conventions, should be punished. It wasn't as if the state leaders did not know about the rules in advance.

You want this stupidity to stop, then call your local party and urge them to adopt either the california plan or the Delaware plan.
