McCain uses 95 year old mother to trash Romney and Mormans
http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D8SQETR00&show_article=1

MEREDITH, N.H. (AP) - John McCain's 95-year-old mother, in a swipe at her son's rival Mitt Romney, said Friday that Mormons were to blame for the scandal that rocked the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics.
During an appearance on MSNBC, Roberta McCain laid out why her son, John, deserves to win the Republican presidential nomination. But in evaluating McCain's primary rivals, she criticized Romney's Mormon faith and his time in Salt Lake City.

"As far as the Salt Lake City thing, he's a Mormon and the Mormons of Salt Lake City had caused that scandal. And to clean that up, again, it's not a subject," Roberta McCain said.

John McCain quickly stepped in: "The views of my mothers are not necessarily the views of mine."

"Well, that's my view and you asked me," Roberta answered.

5. The mom is in better shape than the young wife, you see.
That poor thing had a stroke a few years back.

I suppose it helps to parade mom around, and show that he has some decent genetic code in there!

I like the mother as well--I'm betting she was a looker in her day, because she owns the spotlight even nowadays!

:hi: Someone ought to remind Momma McCain...what the Bush campaign said about her 'baby boy':rofl: Remember when Bush and Rove got McCain swift-boated in the GOP primaries, with twisted stories about McCain's black baby.... {He and his wife adopted a baby}

:shrug: McCain campaigned for bush in 2004 and that support made a great deal of difference-- It's really strange how McCain has sold his soul ... :grr:

2. McCain really really hates Romney--pathologically. I wonder if he
KNEW his mom had these views, or if he put her up to saying them, and then he could smile and say, "well, she's elderly, what are you gonna do? Those aren't my views." I thought it was a shitty thing to do. McCain is once again showing his desperation to win, and now he's using the same dirty tactics that were used on him in SC. Shame on him for making his mom look bad.

6. Sure, plausible deniability. To me, that's a point in McCain's favor.
If he has the judgment to send someone, even Ma, out to crap on Romney, then at least he's aiming the crap right where it's deserved.

Romney is a hideous human being, without any positive qualities. None.
