1. I've tried to avoid the primary as much as possible, but I have to say this
I think that the Clinton campaign "loses" unless they win Iowa really big, because people will wonder about the discrepancy between a close result in Iowa and her big lead in the national polls and supposed invulnerability, real or imagined. So, I think Clinton needs a blowout in order to really "win", anything else will leave voters in other states wondering what happened, IMHO.

5. I agree. Everyone has assumed that she is the nominee
and if she isn't strong in Iowa, it will be a huge deal.

7. You are wrong. HRC wins Iowa by 4 to 6 points. This is a big win
since the msm has shown those polls that say it is a close race. I have said that HRC will have the majority of delegates to become the nominee sometime between 5 February and 15 February 2008.

4. Never. Unless something shakes loose beforehand, we won't know
who comes out ahead till it's all a done deal.

6. I don't expect her to 'win' Iowa at all
But she'll take NH and NV and sweep the Feb 5 states.

8. She'll win
But Obama will probably do well enough to stick around. Edwards will finish 3rd and will drop out the next day. Hillary will win NV easily and Obama will fight hard in NH and SC but I think Hillary will walk away with it.

The GOP on the other hand are destined for a messy primary with Rudy hanging back for the big Feb. contests. It could end up being the death knell for the GOP. The longer they have to bow down to the right the better...

9. Hillary doesn't need to win Iowa
to still win the nomination. On the other hand, Obama and Edwards can't afford to lose it. Even though Obama may go on if he loses Iowa to fight another day, he would probably still lose the nomination. If Edwards loses in Iowa he's out of the race, his polls numbers are too low and he lacks financing.

10. As far as I'm concerned, she doesn't need to win Iowa, New Hampshire or any other state.

11. Hillary doesn't need to win Iowa...
She'll take New Hampshire and most of the other states and will go on to win the nomination.

Bill lost Iowa if I remember correctly.

17. I don't know, but Edwards will be in shock when Hillary or Obama takes Iowa
Afterall, the guy has practically taken up residence there the last 4 years. He's starting to look like an ear of corn.
