1. Why does Ohio like McCain and dislike Obama so much?
What's that all about?

5. The "straight talk" theme, he's a vet, a war hero, male, and caucasian, probably.
Clinton draws closer than Obama, even though she has the female thing to overcome, because Ohio saw a bit of economic resurgence under her husband's leadership, and the people there in desperate financial straits are hoping the "two fer" quality would positively affect them.

That's my guess, anyway. I don't know that for a fact, but it seems logical...

6. A guess.
McCain voted against the Martin Luther King Day holiday.

Obama would have voted for it.

Get my drift?

7. You're saying that a large majority of the state is racist?
Maybe on Obama, but I doubt they would reward McCain.

9. I thought about that.

The racist part with Obama is likely.

The McCain part is harder to explain.

Maybe they're more traditional and McCain is more of a traditional candidate.

Also he was the front runner for a long time before he crashed and burned. Maybe they're slow to catch on?

So maybe not McCain for racism, but more for traditional Republicanism.

10. I'm from Ohio and they are certainly out there
someone told me to my face they wouldn't vote Obama ONLY because he's black. But that was just one person...

12. Charlotte Observer did the same thing or kind of the same thing
In an article today , Edwards was put behind Obama, eventhough, the IOwa polls show him in second place to hill, which was called a tie.
