4. Other: the majority of voters don't even know it is happening

and on top of that they cant pry there eyes away from Must See TV. If I had to choose between the debate or Ugly Betty Id probably choose Betty as well, and I follow the primaries.

9. And that's why the "story" of the debate is always more important than the debate
People don't see the debates. They only hear the media one sentence analysis.

10. And that needs to change
America is in trouble and one of the main reasons is the majority of Americans are not paying attention to anything but themselves.

6. Hm. I'd go with a combination.

Hillary plays it safe for most of the debate. Edwards snipes at her incessantly; she cooly dismisses him as a jealous little boy. When Wolf makes a reference to the attacks on her, she attacks the people going after her, and after Wolf for enabling them. Obama stands on the side, looking statesmanlike, but nobody really pays him much attention. Biden has a few great lines, but gets less than eight minutes total time. Kucinich spends most of his time complaining that the other guys are too conservative.

DUers believe it was a great victory for their candidate, and that everyone else imploded. Post-debate polling shows Hillary with a slight rebound, Obama staying the same, and Edwards dropping slightly.

8. Predictions:
Biden makes intelligent, prescient points on the most important issues of the day. Everyone except Kucinich says "Joe is right" or "I agree with Joe" at least twice during the debate. The media completely ignores this fact and proceeds to ask Biden about what he believes Hillary is thinking in the post-debate interviews.

Richardson brags about his Nobel Peace Prize nomination in response to a question about healthcare.

Edwards and Obama claim they are the only people on stage who tell the truth, then call Hillary a liar and a BITCH in the answer to every question. Hillary doesn't indicate whether she believes she is a bitch or not.

Dodd continues to make good practical points, causing Wolf Blitzer to nod off and fall off the stage.

Kucinich proposes impeaching everyone else onstage, making him the de facto winner of the debate.
