1. We're not 'distinguished' U.S. Senators running for President.

I'm no fan, but I don't use it to describe her and think it's pretty pathetic when I do hear it. Ah yes, yet another Corporate Media tool...

2. Such as?
I don't like her at all, but I've never been so disrespectful as to use vulgar epithets like that. I don't recall ever reading worse (but then, I try to avoid HRC threads whether for or against.)

3. If you've heard worse than "bitch" I hope you are using the alert function.
Or are you just trying to make a point?

6. No, there's been worse on DU
The mods have usually been pretty good at getting rid of the posts, but not before it has a number of recommends.

7. I think a lot of the more offensive statements about Dem candidates
(and subsequent Rec's) are not from DUers but from scumbag freepers.

4. I think it's kind of like my brothers...
they put me through hell, growing up, literally. They were my worst enemies...in fact they were my only enemies because if anyone looked at me sideways my brothers would pulverize them..and then go back to picking on me themselves.

5. Yeah, I realize the gloves are off...
...but on the other hand, it's really depressing to see people get away with trotting out the term "bitch" for a woman candidate, especially when talk radio and the blogosphere and even the freaking bridge association (whatever its name is) can mobilize a torch-wielding mob every time someone implies that George W. Bush is not two below God, if you will. Look at what happened to the Dixie Chicks. Look at Graeme Frost.

We've got to start calling the GOP and others on what they do, especially when they're always prancing around telling us how responsible and grown-up they all are.
