Obama, I believe;"The rock star stuff is back," and the wind is at his back
and it's a different ballgame. Hillary has increasingly appeared "off her balance," while Obama has remained "the statesman." Just as voters are beginning to take a look at the White House race in earnest, they are seeing Obama as "the candidate of change.

3. Starting to agree...
Tho I support Edwards, I would be delighted to vote for Obama if it looks like he's got a shot.

5. I'm with you -- I love Edwards but I'm also excited by Obama
How I wish there were some way for them to "team up" during the primaries. I'd prefer Edwards/Obama but I'd take Obama/Edwards as well. Either ticket would trump Hillary ...

6. Sparkle, hear you loud and clear...
I, too, think an Edwards/Obama ticket would be ideal in our current climate.

I'd be more than happy with settling for Obama/Edwards tho.

But, could you imagine Obama in '16, with 8yrs exec experience?

That would be unstoppable.

10. Absolutely! What I'd love to see is Michelle and Elizabeth together
campaigning, with all the kids ... Talk about giving hope to this country -- young, attractive families with a lot at stake in the future of this nation. Two guys who have worked their way up from nothing and who can identify with the working people ...

11. Part of Obama's Rock Star quality is the fact that he hasn't been in Washington....
forever ... he is new and fresh and lacks the baggage that he would have after 8 years of VP

4. I believe Obama has been merely *dancing* with Hillary for the past 4-5 months and
coming into the home stretch, Bill Clinton too will be fumbling to play catch up...

My daughter saw him there with an intimate crowd of 5000-6000 and she said he brought them roaring to their feet.

She's seen him live at about four events now and got to shake his hand this time, and says her hand is "still glowing and tingling."

More than that, on her weekend campaigning excursions, she said there's more and more interest from the undecideds, and more and more enthusiasm.

It's all great and getting better!

GObama!

Edited for spelling... duh!

8. Obama telling a crowd at Google Inc. that "if I waited 10 years (to run)
"I'd still be younger than most of the other candidates."
While in the SF.Bay area, Obama did questions at Google about the war in Iraq and his policy views towards Iran, very powerful.

9. Yup.
THEN he went to the bigger rally at the SF Civic Center(?) or some place big like that. Coverage here:

The Sacramento Bee | November 15, 2007
By Peter Hecht

SAN FRANCISCO - Before more than 5,000 people in a raucous, late-night rally, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama issued a passionate call Wednesday to end the war in Iraq, stop the U.S. practice of torture and advance racial equality and gay rights in America.

Introduced by author Alice Walker as a man who will bring "compassion and decent leadership" to the world, Obama said that as president he would enact policies to reverse the course of "a nation at war" and "a planet in peril."

To thunderous cheers, he evoked the late Martin Luther King Jr.'s cry of "the fierce urgency of now," saying: "As president I will end the war in Iraq. I will bring the troops home. They will be home in 16 months. ... America, San Francisco. Our moment is now. You can't wait any longer. Our moment to bring about change is now."

The rally followed a town hall meeting before some 1,500 people at Google headquarters in Mountain View.

My daughter said the King quote, followed by, "Will you stand with me?" is what brought the crowd to it's feet with deafening energy. :)

14. Obama is doing well, but he still hasn't lived up to the magic I hoped for
Maybe he'll come off huge tonight, but so far he's been good but not great.

Edwards OTOH is a complete non-factor whose only purpose is to take Hillary down. I don't care how he does in Iowa, he'll be finished after that primary, if not before. The guy is a perpetual loser.

15. He is a hell of a speaker.
I've never seen a politician work a crowd like him.

I have no doubt that if he were the nominee, he'd win the presidency.

If only his health plan were as good as Edwards', he'd be awesome.
