Elizabeth Edwards in NH
Disclaimer: I am not an Edwards shill, in fact I currently support Kucinich.

I really like Elizabeth Edwards. She showed up here in Hollis NH at our reconstructed community barn and she was warm and smart and funny and honest. She did not waste any of our time attacking the other Democratic candidates, and instead did her best to explain what was important to the Edward's campaign.

If the Democrats do not make this, along with the damn stupid criminal war, the focus of the 2008 campaign, they deserve to lose.

55. Stick around, you'll learn, if you apply yourself..
politics are a bloodsport. If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen, pretty much sums it up in a nutshell. Election times aren't pretty, especially the Primarys. Once they are done, it's pretty much cut and dry. Edwards is a charlatan. If you like negative attacks, he's your guy. Hillary supporters want to take back America from the Republicans. Edwards isn't interested in that. Review his Voting record the six years in the Senate. If you are an Edwards believer, you'll hardly believe what you read...but it's all true. Edwards has supported the Neocon agenda throughout his career.

Edited on Sat Nov-17-07 05:19 PM by Tellurian
I just asked you a legitimate question.. what is your criteria for basing your conclusions of "honesty" when you heard her speak?

Why would I be in a world of misery, when my candidate is ahead?

27. There was nothing remotely legitimate about your question.
It was simply an attack- and it wasn't even veiled- speaking of people who lie. And Clinton is not way ahead where it counts- in Iowa, and she's slipping in NH. If she gets beaten in those two states, she is in trouble.

to qualify your statement..

How do you know Elizabeth Edwards was being honest?

I'll accept, you really don't know for sure. She just "sounded" like she's honest, if it makes it easier for you.

42. I don't need a clue stick to ask a reasonable question..
The people that are proponents of religion...I give them sidewards glances..

The people supposedly sounding honest, I have a real question for them...How So?

What makes them "sound" honest? The usual answer IS...they are telling you what YOU want to hear! Not what they think.

Hillary tells you what "she" thinks... NOT what you want to hear. If you don't like what she says...you tell her

about it and explain your position..and come to a mutual understanding Thats called a conversation with your candidate!

Seriously- what do you hope to gain by what you do here? Do you think any Edwards supporters are going to change their minds from reading your posts? Do you think you are endearing Hillary to us? Are you really that nuts?

34. That's a nice house. We almost moved to Richardson road.
Hollis is a great town. We are currently a bit notorious because of the New York Times article about the big stink at our town dump:

HOLLIS, N.H., Nov. 10 — The town dump here is a kind of unofficial social club, the place to buy Girl Scout cookies, meet political candidates and catch up with friends while unloading a week’s worth of trash.

Or as one resident, Ted Crane, puts it, “There’s no joy greater than coming to the dump on Saturday morning.”

Now that joy has been dimmed by new town regulations that limit each user’s visit to 30 minutes a day. The cutoff has annoyed both those who say they won’t have enough time to get together with neighbors and others who claim a half-hour just isn’t long enough to get rid of all their garbage.

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/11/13/us/13dump.html?_r=1&oref=slogin

Luckily we citizens still rule by town meeting here, so a petition is already in progress to undo what the idiot selectmen did. The dump! Heck that is the biggest social event of my week, generally.

You have NO right to offer praise, especially earned praise.

Worse still, you were fair in tone and temperament in this post, and that is NOT permitted.

In fact it is scorned.

You will be punished.

You will suffer.

You will be cast into the deepest rungs of hell and the key will be tossed into the far oceans.

How DARE you use language and empathy to elevate?

Unheard of, and damnably unpardonable.

51. Campaign's Press Release:
ELIZABETH EDWARDS CAMPAIGNS THROUGHOUT NEW HAMPSHIRE, LAUNCHES ‘YOUNG GRANITE STATERS FOR EDWARDS’ WEBSITE

(Manchester, NH) – On the heels of Senator Edwards’ strong debate performance in Nevada, Elizabeth Edwards returned to New Hampshire today for two days of Graniteroots campaigning during which she spoke with the Young Democrats and Stonewall Democrats at their national conventions along with New Hampshire and national Democratic leaders at the DNC Northeastern Regional Conference in Manchester. Elizabeth will also attend house parties and town halls throughout the state.

“John understands our lives, knows our aspirations and has spent a lifetime solving the problems of real families,” said Elizabeth. “That is precisely the combination we need in our next president.”

As Elizabeth met with Young Democrats, Stonewall Democrats and NHDP members today in Manchester, the campaign launched a New Hampshire youth-specific website, Young Granite Staters for Edwards, at www.johnedwards.com/nh/youth. The website includes tools to build networks through Facebook and Myspace, has a form to sign up for cell phone text message updates about the campaign, and much more.

Senator Edwards continues to lead the Democratic issues debate as his campaign begins canvassing New Hampshire today with The Plan to Build One America: Bold Solutions for Real Change, an 80-page booklet with all of Senator Edwards’ detailed proposals to bring real change to America. Campaign staff and volunteers will pass these booklets out to Granite Staters as they go door to door to build support for John Edwards. To read The Plan to Build One America, please visit: www.johnedwards.com/issues/plan-to-build-one-america.pdf.
