1. He wants to stop the black on black violence that is tearing apart so many communities.
2. He understands that our entire farm policy needs to be changed and favors moving us to organic methods.
3. He understands the Constitution.
4. He understands torture, and will not permit it or pretend he doesn't know about it.
5. He understands that what makes us Americans is not common blood or common history, but common values.
6. He's comfortable in his skin.
7. He understands that war is a last resort.
8. His daughters are the same age as my black nieces; I trust him to make a good world for them.

When Mrs. Clinton got caught planting shills in her audiences, it struck me that I can't picture Obama doing the same.
