The New Meme-"We're Winning The War"
The new meme is "we're winning the war" and what will the Dems do now that it is "allegedly" going well since they are invested in defeat...

If the medium controls the message we better have a plan...

1. OK, go set up a grandstand in the middle if Baghdad and make the
announcement that we are winning.

Walk down the street without any body armor or Blackwater goons at your side.

Open up a business there.

etc. etc.

And asked him what would happen if an American family chose Iraq as a vacation destination...He said they would be taken away by the men in white coats the minute they arrived at the airport...

We are the finger in the dike... The problem is you can't keeep a finger in a dike forever...

8. You're right.
We won the stupid thing a long time ago. This is nothing but a occupation--a bad one at that.

3. Haven't we been "winning the war" for years now?
According to the GOP, we've been turning corners, seeing the insurgency in its last throes, marking tipping points, and winning the war since -- well, since the mission was accomplished.

5. I find that favorable for the Dems
It does very little to change public perceptions of the war as a disaster (that perception seems fixed in polling), while taking pressure of the Dems on expedient withdrawal (which they can't deliver anyway)

9. They can keep voting to do it. They can keep forcing Dim Son to VETO it and let the REpigs vote
with him. AGAIN AND AGAIN. They could also vote to IMPEACH their sorry asses.

6. Are dems invested in defeat?
I don't think the terms "win" and "defeat" apply here, unless that is the way the corp media decides to spin it.

At any rate, Dems should say something like, "thank God it's winding down, we should never have been there, and should get the troops home as fast as possible, and we must hold accountable those who lied us into this bloody and unnecessary act of agression."

12. This tune we are winning the war may change public
attitudes, according to Some GOPers on the Hill. They are hopeful
this leaves Dems on the wrong side and looking weak.

This is why they are singing We are Winning"

As usual not a word from the Democrats.

No Political Progress by Government of Iraq means we are not winning.
The Military has held things together admirably but why are they surging???
They are surging so the Government can make political Progress.

The Military keeps us from Losing, but we cannot call it a win
until Political Progress is made.

The GOP may win this here in Us singing We are Winning, We are Winning.
