Hillary Speaks out on Saudi Arabian decision to lash Gang Rape victim...
Edited on Wed Nov-21-07 11:42 AM by SaveElmer
And Bush's lack of response...

"In 1995, I went to Beijing and said, ‘It is time for us to say here in Beijing, and for the world to hear, that it is no longer acceptable to discuss women's rights as separate from human rights.’ We have made some progress since then. But we have not made enough. The latest example is the punishment of 200 lashes that a Saudi Arabian court has given to a victim -- the victim -- of a gang rape. This is an outrage. The Bush administration has refused to condemn the sentence and said it will not protest an internal Saudi decision. I urge President Bush to call on King Abdullah to cancel the ruling and drop all charges against this woman. As President I will once again make human rights an American priority around the world."

purported 15 Saudis on the four airplanes on 9-11 and their supporters and their enablers and others who support international terrorism and those responsible/support the laws leading to such as this and the judiciary making such rulings as this and....

It would not surprise me if Hillary is actually working through whatever channels are available to her to get to the House of Saud to get this stopped. Wonder if the King will take M. Albright's phone call?

13. Wow! She's Going Out On A Limb On This One!
As always, she's unafraid to take a controversial stand... braving hostility to take a stand that most Americans oppose. She knows that, in time, she'll bring us around to see the wisdom of her bold stand. She is not unlike The Founders, Lincoln, and FDR in this respect, and I only hope that she finds us worthy of her presidency.

40. So what did you MEAN by this?:
My pledge to DU with this approaching Holiday season.

With all the infighting during this primary season so far (I have been just as guilty as the next person), I have decided to not participate in the spirited discussions we have had to date until January 1st, but to use my time & resources to helping the less fortunate. I had a very strange dream last night & I feel this is what my calling is to be for the coming season.

I wish all of you and your families the best this Holiday season however you decide to celebrate it.

Billy

I'm not avoiding anything. During that debate, she said she thought Spitzer's plan was a good idea, then denied saying it, then said it again. The next day she put out a statement saying she's FOR his plan and then at the debate she was against it (after she got him to go against it himself).
