Obama vs. Obama. Two days apart.
Edited on Mon Nov-26-07 09:23 PM by Skip Intro
11/26:

Anyone who watched KO from the begining tonight knows there was a clip where Hillary said Obama's health care plan requires a mandate for children, and Obama responded that the "mandate" aspect of Health Insurance refrom was a "manufactured" issue.

11/24:

Obama makes an issue of "mandates."

"I know that there have been some other candidates who said that's it's not possible to provide universal health care coverage unless there's a mandate..."

(check out the electrified audience)

--------------

Does it look to anyone else that Obama makes an issue of mandates one day, then calls it a manufactured issue the next day?

Is it just me?

2. He is in an excellent position to know whether it's manufactured.

3. Is he claiming it will provide universal coverage
of children? No. That's the difference.

Hillary is pretending her plan will cover everybody when she's basing that on a mandate and not affordability.

4. Wrong...
She is basing it on a mandate AND affordability...

As is Edwards...

But you would only know that if you actually read her plan...

6. Tax credits don't work
If they did, everybody would be thrilled with the college tax credit plan from the 90's. Her plan is bullshit, as usual.

8. It's more than tax credits. It also expands Medicaid and limits premiums
but you'd know that if you read the plans

9. Read the plan...
Far more than tax credits...in fact Hillary's plan guarantees premiums will not exceed a certain % of income on a sliding scale based on need...

7. Doesn't look that way to me.
It looks like one day Obama is saying that some of his colleagues are making an issue of a mandate, and 2 days later is saying the exact same thing, adding that it is a "manufactured issue" by "some other candidates", which apparently it is.

10. He doesn't know his applause lines from his positions. Inexperience.
Maybe Oparah can help him with the cue cards.
