Rasmuseen Is Back From Vacation- HRC 41% Obama 17% Edwards 13%
Hillary Clinton still holds a commanding lead in the race for the Democratic Presidential Nomination. Clinton attracts 41% of Likely Democratic Primary Voters nationwide while Barack Obama earns the vote from 17%. John Edwards is the choice for 14%, Bill Richardson and Joe Biden are each supported by 5%, while no other Democratic candidate tops 3% (see recent daily numbers).

7. Obama was at 26% about a week ago. I wonder where that 9% went.
The percentages for Hillary and Edwards are about the same as they were last week.

Obama is down 9%. Did undecided go up or did the 9% go to candidates other than the big three?

11. Sorry, looking at it again, the 26% was more like 10 days ago.
11/18/07 shows him at 26%. He dropped to 17% on 11/21 and remained at 17% in this latest poll.

The 9% drop didn't benefit either Hillary or Edwards, as their percentages were the same before and after. Interesting.

13. It's Not Fair To Cherry Pick Polls
I post Rasmussen because his poll updates every day...

That being said... Zogby's online poll is a non probability sample poll and is thus not rooted in science... His telephone polls are ok...

I specifically said it's disingenuous to cherry pick polls but I can distinguish between a poll that is a probability sample poll and one which isn't...

23. It's not cherry picking.
I just don't trust ANY online poll to be accurate. there are still too many households without computers and the most reliable voters (seniors) do not own them in vast numbers.

I trust more RealClearPolitics because it averages various polls and Rasmussen because it's right leaning and definitely not out to favor the Democrats. Therefore, I find them more objective.

20. But more troubling and relevant is Rasmussen's poll with Giulinai at 46% vs. Hillary at 42%. Here's
the most damaging part of Rasmussen's poll which echoes the Zogby poll that shows Hillary losing to all five main Republican contenders:

In addition to losing ground in the national match-ups with Giuliani and Thompson, Clinton now trails four Republican hopefuls in the pivotal state of Florida.

21. I Can Cherry Pick Polls As Well As You If That's Your Bent
Gallup came out with a new general election poll, and it looks good for Democrats as Clinton and Obama lead 7 match-ups against Republicans, the eight one being tied:

Hillary Clinton leads Rudy Giuliani 49% to 44% and John McCain 50% to 44%. She has massive leads against Mitt Romney (54% to 38%) and Fred Thompson 53% to 40%.
Barack Obama only ties Giuliani at 45%, but he leads against McCain 47% to 44%, against Romney 52% to 35% and against Thompson 51% to 38%.

22. That's just how Bush approaches global warming. Attack all data which raises any concern. Promote
any story which fits the agenda.

I'm not sure that approach is a very sound one.

29. So what appears to be a conservative pollster has
anointed Hillary? From their website:

Rasmussen Reports’ Election 2006 coverage has been praised for its accuracy and reliability. Michael Barone, Senior Writer for U.S. News & World Report and co-author of The Almanac of American Politics, mentions, “One clear lesson from the Republican victory of 2004 and the Democratic victory of 2006 is that the best place to look for polls that are spot on is RasmussenReports.com." And University of Virginia Professor Larry Sabato states, “In election campaigns, I’ve learned to look for the Rasmussen results. In my experience, they are right on the money. There is no question Rasmussen produces some of the most accurate and reliable polls in the country today.”
