It looks like this is what *Co is pushing for going into the general election. Will it work?

1. I don't think they'll do that
Even though declaring victory might score some points, it would also encourage a quicker withdrawal.

And for the Cabal, the dirty work has only just begun in Iraq.

2. No. I'm betting the majority of Americans have caught on to the fact
that Iraq was a needless, pointless disaster, and there's simply no swelling of pride over "victory" when you've conquered people who didn't need conquering. There's never any shame or danger in wanting an end to the war. Dems should never forget that, no matter what the GOP and the media hype are saying.

3. I think this is what they're planning
They know if they keep 150k in Iraq they'll lose. Next summer they'll announce they're bringing like 80k home. Game, set, match.

4. Hadn't thought of it before but the timing of this "peace Conference" is...
...interesting.

Wonder why it wasn't done several years ago?

I don't know if Bushco's strategy is totally political, but it sure do look like some last-minute revisionism, at the very least.

5. My Very Fear
I've thought about this and it is something that I truly think could happen. They have spun things that none of us could have guessed they could spin. Why not this?
