Biden calls on Bush to go to Israel
By Ian Swanson| Posted: 11/27/07 10:38 a.m.
November 27, 2007

Sen. Joseph Biden (D-Del.) has called on President Bush to visit Israel and the Palestinian territories as a way to provide the sustained leadership necessary to make progress toward a Middle East peace settlement.

“It is not enough to hold a conference or give a speech and then drop the issue for months on end,” Biden said. “The peace process requires day-in, day-out engagement, starting with the president.”

He noted that Bush has not visited Israel during his more than six years in office. If he makes his first trip to that country and the Palestinian territories, said Biden, “he can play a more informed and active role in pushing the process forward.”

Just as well - don't Israel and Palestine have enough problems without that?!

4. Well..he's currently holding the title of POTUS....
and is supposed to be the leader of the free world...so yeah...I kind of expect it...I won't get it...but I expect it. Kind of like how my boss expects me to show up on time for my shift...at least I deliver.

8. Exactly...
but none of us expect anything from Bush, and haven't for a long time. Now if it was a trip to Crawford, he'd be there in a flash...

9. Biden is staying on Bush's ass, as all of Congress should.
Some do it better than others. Biden has been very persistent and rather than just criticize him like others do, Biden always makes suggestions or states what he would do. I think it's good.

10. This is really jumping up Bush's ass
especially when the majority of people would rather Bush just spend the rest of his term back in Crawford.

17. I don't know about that...I think the majority of Americans would like
to see Bush fall into a rather deep hole...I guess if it happens to be in Crawford...we could live with that.

20. Yeah, and maybe Biden was thinking what I was, LOL...
I was thinking, if Bush went, he could get shot, Cheney would then get so exicted he would have a heart attack, and we could get on with it, with Nancy at the helm. :-)

15. Me too...
Bush gets a pass from this Congress all too often. I'm glad Biden is calling attention to the fact Bush has not visited there ONCE. Biden is saying exactly what a REAL leader should do in the situation, and illustrating how Bush is not a leader at all, all at the same time.

11. Yeah, and Biden believed him and authorized the war
Real fucking brilliant.

But I guess it took Biden six years to realize Bush is insane.

Only if Biden would wake up tomorrow morning and realize he's insane too we'll all be better off.

12. Bush is leader of America
Who made him leader of the world???

Ignorant and stupid Americans (fundies) need to wake up and change their conversation and as a result change their lives.

Bush and his cronies have made America the most hated nation on the face of Jah earth. Sowing and Reaping is nature's true law. Do you think America can whit stand China and Russian militaries combined??? Remember you live in the west and they live in the east.

America is crumbling from inside because the boil is so big and festering. That boil is slavery. Americans need to face the piracy and destruction they have for centuries visited on free nations. By their silence they acquiesce to this piracy.

Jah's wrath is visiting.

Wake up!!!!!

Love and Light

13. Biden is also responsible
He could have given the Democratic Black Caucaus a signature in 2000 and we wouldn't be in this mess today. Same for Edwards as well.

25. Bush would probably tell somebody to
"knock off this shit" and do so with his mouth full! Then he'd strut away in his cowboy boots, like he'd accomplished something.
