And yet another world leader calls Joe Biden
Once again George Bush was a complete ass, unable to even pronounce Israeli and Palestinian leaders names!

<Biden offers advice to Israeli prime minister

MANCHESTER, N.H.—Apologizing for his tardiness and touting his foreign policy credentials at the same time, Democrat Joe Biden told students that a call from the prime minister of Israel delayed his arrival at their conference.

Biden, a presidential hopeful and chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said he was waiting for his luggage at the airport Wednesday night when his cell phone rang.

"The prime minister of Israel was calling. He was calling me because he wanted to discuss with me and get my opinion about what happened in Annapolis," Biden said, referring to this week's U.S.-sponsored Mideast peace conference that included Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and representatives from dozens of other countries.>

2. well they gotta talk to SOMEBODY who knows
what the hell they're talking about. who doesn't continuously talk in "campaign speak". who isn't afraid to lay out the reality of a situation. who doesn't look toward their scripting team for "proper" answers.

you know, someone who's NOT a puppet, a stooge, a yes-man, or a power-grabber.

bascially the opposite of the G-dubs Admin.

thank God there are bidens left in congress.

8. I hope not. I don't think there's anyone more qualified to deal with/interact
with the world leaders than Biden. How could a President with less experience and understanding guide Biden if he were the SOS? It doesn't make sense to me. Biden, with his qualifications, needs to be telling the SOS what actions to take, not the other way around.

If he doesn't win the Presidency, I hope he remains in the Senate and as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations.

4. It was horribly embarrassing
to hear and see how ** butchered the leaders' names. You'd think he could at least have had someone tell him the correct pronunciation before he went in front of the cameras. What an idiot.

It's good to know that there are some real statesmen working behind the scenes.

11. I cringe every time Bush speaks
That episode was outrageous and insulting. He treated the peace talks like some after thought, not even taking the time to learn how to pronounce their names, which he should have known already.

12. * deserves an Oscar for "Best Horrifyingly Comedic Performance"
You couldn't (realistically) write his speeches and count on the consistently moronic delivery. By the time he's done speechifying, any intended content is so mangled that nobody can even claim to have taken what he's said out of context.

He wraps "Terra", "Iraq", "Iran", "N. Korea", et. al. in complete gibberish and THAT'S ALL PEOPLE HEAR.
