Hillary: "(Obama) running for president the day he arrived in the U.S. Senate,"
Edited on Mon Dec-03-07 08:40 PM by Perky
CLEAR LAKE, Iowa (AP) -- Hillary Rodham Clinton suggested Monday that Barack Obama has too little experience and perhaps too much ambition, pressing an increasingly aggressive campaign against her chief rival for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Both candidates were in Iowa, one month before the nation's leadoff caucuses with new polls showing Obama had whittled away her early lead and they were virtually tied among Democrats in the state.

"So you decide which makes more sense: Entrust our country to someone who is ready on day one ... or to put America in the hands of someone with little national or international experience, who started running for president the day he arrived in the U.S. Senate," Clinton said

As if she was not running for President when she arrived in the White House?????????

Give me a frigging break!!!!!

spell "insidious" correctly?

You might also want to look it up. I'm not sure that it means what you think it means.

5. Let me connect the dots for you: Obama brought up Clinton's motive
Edited on Mon Dec-03-07 08:34 PM by Evergreen Emerald
for running for president suggesting that she has sinister motives and used as an example, the fact that she has been planning to run for president for a number of years, unlike himself (he continued to argue) who just recently decided to run for president.

Clinton is pointing out that Obama is LYING and is a HYPOCRITE. As he has also been planning to run for president for a number of years as well. And really, as far back as he can remember.

So, does Obama have a sinister motive for running for president? Well, based on his argument, if Clinton does, he does.

9. she is going to go down in flames
She already has a high negative factor, she can't afford to have many more people dislike her. I guess it is all or nothing for her. She will either be President or try to take down anyone and everyone in her way. There is no I in team but there is in Hillary Clinton.

14. What A Hypocrite
She has been running for President since Bills 2nd term started.
If she really wanted to lead....she could have been doing so for the last 7 years.
All she has been doing is triangulating a "safe" record and collecting cash on her
"inevitable" way to the nomination.

Guess what dear Senator?
It's not going to happen.

23. Edwards got in on the action with his third grade ambitions.
Edwards lies about wanting to be a fireman or something like that. Obama wrote an essay in third grade about his dream of the presidency. At the same time, third grade Edwards conducted focus groups and started push polls.

Why drag Edwards into this Obama/Clinton thing? I enjoy watching the two camps slight each other over the stupidest shit...
Besides, Edwards said he wanted to be Superman.

15. If you look at the experience both have - Obama and Clinton
neither have that much experience.

The guy in Illiois who ran against Obama was a Maryland Republican black guy, Alan Keyes, who most people around here would tell you was certifiably insane. I could have won against this guy in Maryland, you could have too, and probably in Illinois as well and win just for being sane. So Obama hasn't really faced a contest where he wouldn't win. I think that may cloud his judgement a bit. He's a great candidate and I respect him, but he hasn't been tested.

Mrs. Clinton served as First Lady in the White House. She is trying to run on this experience, but with the Health Care thing, she really failed miserably - there were other factors that were involved - but for her to run on a sucessful record isn't credible. So her experience, in my book, wasn't positive. She has proved I think a successful Senator in her state and that's good, but that's all she has to run on, she can't run on her husband's record. We single women resent women who use their husband's career to further their credibility. That's bullshit! So I call her on that.

31. actually, I think this is a good line of attack for her
she mentions the two biggest reasons why Obama is not in my top three - lack of experience and an over reaching ambition, especially when combined with that lack of experience.

We'll see how it plays out, I suppose - but I don't think, from here on out, anyone can accuse HRC of playing it safe.

32. Saw this on Countdown tonight
I don't think a person can get much more hypocritical. They have both been running for president since they were elected, but at least Obama was elected from his home state and didn't move to another state just because it would help him run for president.

I'm a New Yorker and it's obvious that Clinton moving here was nothing more than one step in her plan to run for president. Hopefully a true New Yorker will represent us in the Senate soon.
