40. Lawrence O'Donnell was speaking from his experience as a Democratic Strategist.
He said this was a huge stupid error on the part of the Clinton campaign. He said they were trying to spin their way out of it by suggesting it was a joke. He said typically when there is a problem like this, top campaign officials meet to best suggest how to handle. They vote on different solutions. He would have voted to NEVER use this story, had he been a part of Clintons campaign.

3. Please link...and do you mean Norah ODonnel, the Repukes
best friend, and Dan Abrams, who scolded his reporter for some tough questioning of a Repuke.

Pretty clear Hilary's ad was a smart move.

Glad you bought into their spin.

Edited on Mon Dec-03-07 09:27 PM by Kurt_and_Hunter
Even by responding, Obama looks "politics as usual."

Nobody in camp Hillary thinks this tack will cause her to rise. She is dragging Obama into the mud with her.

Clinton is elevating JE because he is not long term competition.

Edited on Mon Dec-03-07 09:43 PM by ClarkUSA
Her attacks have been universally panned by political analysts. And we know Iowans are legendary for disliking the politics of personal destruction.
So keep it up, Hillary!

I would think they would actually attack each other about important things, like war and peace. Kindergarten? What a mistake. know your audience.

37. The media coronated Hillary until SHE messed up and they pointed it out.
Edited on Tue Dec-04-07 12:39 PM by jenmito
All of CNN loves the Clintons. Just look at the debate they had and the questions they DIDN'T ask. Olbermann loves the Clintons (but I still love Olbermann). Matthews declared her the winner of every single debate until the Philly one when even HE couldn't declare her the winner. Telling someone you "agree with" someone else's "hatred" does nothing for your argument. You sound like Bush saying if you disagree with his position on the Iraq war that you agree with the terrorists. Hillary AND Bill have brought the scrutiny on themselves by their actions. NOBODY deserves a free pass.

39. The media didn't 'coronate' Clinton
Edited on Tue Dec-04-07 12:48 PM by seasonedblue
but they pushed the meme that she thought she was a queen. Chris Matthews hates the Clintons, both of them, and can't wait to pounce on either of them for the slightest perceived offense. Nobody deserves a free pass, but Edwards and Obama have not been scrutinized by the television media yet. Other than Stephanopoulos, who's asked Edwards about his 180 degree change from 2 years ago?

41. Yes they did...
They never said SHE thought she was a queen. They constantly said she was running a flawless campaign even when she changed her positions on things. They called everything Obama said "rookie mistakes" even though we, the voters, agreed with things he said (about meeting with our enemies, striking within Pakistan if they don't cooperate, etc.) I DO think Edwards got a free pass and that's because, IMO, he's not as viable a candidate since he was forced to take matching funds (claiming it was for moral reasons).

Liam wrote on December 4, 2007 2:13 PM:
A question that Senator Clinton should be required to answer:

Why is it that you have been able to uncover and release the writings of Senator Obama from when he was in Kindergarten, but you have been unable to release your own records from your very recent eight years in the White House?

She has to get back to positive campaigning and let someone else do the attacking. This was her low point so far in the campaign. And she looked horrible doing it.
