Poll question: Do you think the media is intent on destroying Hillary to help the Democrats?
Edited on Mon Dec-03-07 10:44 PM by Kurt_and_Hunter
In my experience, the mainstream media tends to do whatever Republicans want. But maybe our luck has changed and the media is finally helping Democrats out by trying to take down our weakest candidate so we can win in 2008. Maybe it's different this time. It could happen...

5. I think the media don't much care about the results
they just want to create a good horse race to cover.

6. The media wants a close race...and they want to prove to themselves
that they do not report the news, but MAKE the news. Anything that they can put out there to prove their storyline that Hilary is fading they'll do to prove their power and influence.

The corporate media has zero interest in helping the Democrats.

8. But everyone says Hillary is our worst candidate, and the media has been demolishing her for a month
Maybe you're too cynical. Looks to me like the media is trying to install Obama because he's our strongest candidate.

10. The media wants OJ Simpson or Rosie O'Donnel to run for president

as they would bring in the ratings.

Of the candidates who are running, Hillary and Obama bring in ratings. They want one of them against Rudy who also brings in ratings. The media wants the candidate who people will tune in to watch and OJ Simpson would be their dream candidate.

12. They want ratings and a horse race will bring that...
and I think they are intent on putting a positive spin on Obama (for the time being). But watch out, if Obama gets the nod we will see nothing but Madras school stories and links to Islam. If you go to any freeper site that is all they talk about: Barack Hussein Obama. "He is a secret Muslim". "He is intent on destroying Amurika for Islam." The Osama/Obama Hussein names will be bandied about enough so that even some Democrats will begin to wonder if there isn't just a little bit of truth in all the stories. The swift-boating of Kerry will seem like childs-play when measured against the attacks in store for Obama.
I, of course, take him at his word that he is a Christian. Not that that means anything to me (I'm agnostic). I, personally would prefer a president who could say to the American public: My religion is a private matter and it has no place in politics/schools or the work place. But, I'm just a dreamer where that's concerned.

13. They are intent on destroying her
but I think it's the "baby boomers eat each other alive" thing. They've always detested the Clintons. Bill got the worse press of any President since Nixon.
