Senator Biden: America's 'Everyday Joe'
(Yeah, I know, kind of a fluff piece, but posted for those who are "thinking about' Biden for their candidate.)

By David Brody
CBN News Sr. National Correspondent
December 4, 2007

CBNNews.com - Most of the media attention in the Democratic presidential race has focused on Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. But there's another candidate with a load of experience who hasn't been getting a load of air time: Senator Joseph Biden.

Just a Regular Guy

You might just call him an "everyday Joe." Despite being a 30-year veteran of the Senate, Biden is described as a "regular guy" by many who meet him. After all, what other presidential candidate will come up to you and slap you in the shoulder to get your attention?

snip

Biden knows that when you go up against the Republican candidate in the General Election, you better come ready to talk terrorism.

"We know what the Republican game plan is going to be. You know it. You know what it's going to be whether it's Giuliani or Romney," he said.

"It's going to be about whether we're weak or we're strong or about security," Biden said. "So I say to people just picture who you want in that ring. Who do you want in that ring? Who do you think is going to be the most qualified person?"

The Biden campaign is even running this campaign ad called "Joe is Right" where the other candidates continue to praise him.

But the most qualified person doesn't win all the time. Trailing badly in the polls, Biden must morph into salesman.

"Please caucus for me," he said. "Please don't say 'He's qualified, he's a great guy, but I don't think he can win.' I can win if you caucus for me. I can win if you caucus for me."

"If I were to lose, I'm going to lose on my own terms. And if I win, it's going to be on my own terms," he said.

And what are those terms?

"Those terms are to level with you -- flat level with you," Biden said.

In the meantime, he believes Iowa can become Biden Country.

He said, "I think I'm going to surprise the living devil out of all the pundits."

2. Brody is really an interesting character. He writes about Biden all of the time yet -
when he is on political shows, all he talks about is the frontrunners.

Plus I believe he is a repug.

My take on it - he is a closet Bidenite and he needs to come out of the closet and help Joe!

3. Shock the system!
'tear down this wall!' indeed

--funny how Biden says something, then 2 days later other candidates repeat.

4. You noticed that too - huh?
I could not believe what I heard coming out of a certain candidate over the weekend.

I kept screaming at the tv - "You stole that line from Biden". hmmmmph!

On the B&B forum, there were many, many comments, from a couple of the candidates....you can guess....who have now started to talk like Joe, say the same things Joe has said from the beginning of the debates, and I just think....sheesh, when YOU were talking smack about the other candidates, JOE was talkking about this stuff. Remember the first debates? Joe was all business, they were all smack about each other....no content at all.

to have in Biden's campaign. I truly feel Joe is going to "surge" (sorry) in Iowa. Let's see if old Dave gets with the program then. It's easy enough to e-mail him, give him praise (cough) on his work and tell him you would like more info on Joe. His ego will love it.

10. My wish is that all the pundits that are closet "Bidenites"...
will make a stand for him before the Iowa caucus. George Stephanopoulis comes to mind-especially considering how well Biden did on the last interview. I'm not saying an outright endorsement, I'm just hoping they'll throw him some positive attention, maybe do a couple in depth pieces on him to give him some visibility. I'm so sick of the Clinton/Obama/Edwards circus I could scream.
