The neocons can't wage WW3 to gain control of oil and survive the month. In my heart I believe that their lives wouldn't be worth a plug nickel. They finally got it through their heads that they can't live to control a large chunk of the world's oil. It's about the skin on Bush's and Cheney's asses.

goddamn why do we have to wait for Bush to start a war to impeach him. If lying about WMD - AGAIN - isn't enough, how can we be sure a war would be. And if he gets away with this, why wouldn't he just concoct another lie, like the IRG in Iraq, to launch his war.

How long would it really take for a fully media assault and a coordinated resignation, like Nixon. I think they don't want a Republican in the White House to give them the incumbency aura. In the mean time, our country goes so far down the toilet I don't know if anyone can pull it out.

35. For whatever his reasons, I think that Bush wanted to back off
from the Iran attack idea. And, this announcement needed to be made now rather than a closer date to the elections. I don't think it would have been announced like it was had Bush not OK'd it.
