1. I really do like Richardson.

I hope he gets picked for VP or something. He's got a lot of great ideas. I hate that he's not in the top 3.

2. He has insisted repeatedly he will not take the VP spot

and it's a spot that would be a total waste for him. He has said he would rather finish his second term as governor.

I think if he doesn't get the top spot, then only being appointed Secretary of State would appeal to him. It would make the best use of his talents and he's about the only person who can possibly clean up the mess Powell, Bolton and Rice have made of the State Department.

BTW, I grew up in New Mexico, went to HS there and all...which is probably why I'm so spicy. And, I LOVE hot food! Green chili, my fav. That, and Blakes Lotta Burger...:-)
