Some Random Observation On A Friday Morning
1) I see Tweety is turning on The Huckster because he refuses to acknowledge Mitt Romney is a Christian... Perhaps he will throw his lot in with The Mittster since his former crush, Rudi is too "dirtied up" to win...

2) The Mittster's speech is a welcome reprieve for the Hillary Clinton campaign...Since it's all the main stream press is talking about it takes the focus off her recent mistakes and gives her time to straighten out her staff or as it is colloquially known to get their "shit together"...

3) The Ghoul will be on "Meet The Press: this Sunday...Hopefully they will both lose it and discredit themselves...

4) The Bushes appear to be showing their hand in that they support Mitt Romney...I think they wanted The Ghoul but realize he's "too dirtied" up to win...

1. Tweety must get dizzy from all of his spinning around
He has a new crush every day, while demonizing his crush of the day before. then he adopts a new crush and repeats the pattern...and he often returns to his old crushes before leaving them again.

Before Mitts speech Tweetster was all for seperation of politics and religion. Then he was so overwhelmed by that Manly Man Mitt that he reversed course.

he must have toes of steel from all that swivelling.

4. Tweety Is Pissed Because The Huckster Was Asked If Mitt Romney Was A Christian
The Huckster said "it wasn't up to him to say"...

Tweety was firmly in Ghouliani's camp but he now realizes The Ghoul is probably "too dirtied up to win"...

You nailed it the day before when you said Mitt would say everybody who believes in God and family values is cool wherher they be a Jew, Christian or Mormon... However, that leaves out secularists, agnostics, and atheists...

2. A few random thoughts from me to add to the pile
1. Mitt Romney is a bigot. He had the balls to cry about religious discrimination, yet his speech said that anyone who wasn't religious was un-American. And he quoted John "Alien and Sedition Act" Adams, a one-term wonder, to buttress his argument.

2. All of the presidential candidates, Democratic and Republican, should band together and hold a joint press conference. At it, they should demand that the networks, that broke into regular programming to air the Romney speech, provide them with equal time. What those networks did, in essence, was provide Mitt with free advertising. Because that wasn't "news"--it was a lousy speech that could have been COVERED at their news hours. The networks need to level the playing field and give the same treatment to everyone, and that includes the Gravels and the Pauls. They should also file a joint complaint with the FCC.

3. I think the Bushies just wanna keep their hand in. Old Poppy made sure not to endorse what the idiot Romney actually said--he just gave him the fancy, Presidential-ish venue. This, to me, looked like a bet hedging exercise. If McCain does well in either IA or NH, they might cuddle with him, too.

4. At this time four years ago, Dean was blowing EVERYONE away in the Iowa polls. Kerry was barely breathing. Ya just never know.

3. I didn't think about the equal air time,
but you're absolutely right. The networks served up a great big Mitt promo yesterday.

6. Here's How I See It
The powers that be in the GOP hate the Huckster... They want Mitt Romney but will accept John McCain...

7. I think you may be right. The Huckster is actually a weak candidate, too.
He's got surface gloss and a huge Q factor, but he's awfully thin-skinned for a former fat guy. And he's getting that frontrunner treatment, where he's picked apart incessantly. This parole business will be the talk of the town this weekend, he's got that problematic son, and then there's 'Wedding registry-gate.' I don't see him going the distance, but I could be wrong.

Romney has some shit-stank too. His record as governor of MA ain't too swift. The reason he didn't run for reelection is because Deval Patrick --or ANYONE--would have beaten him like a rented mule. Did I say he REALLY sucked? He did. He REALLY sucked!

Now McCain...McCain has a few skeletons in HIS closet, too. But they're OLD skeletons...FRIENDLY skeletons--we've seen them before and know them well. They're named Water Under The Bridge, Asked and Answered, We've Covered That Already, and How Many Times Must You Bring That Old Story Up? His scandals aren't new, they've been covered, so he'll probably be able to weather them better.

I'm not ruling McCain out. And I'll tell ya, if he makes it to 'The Show' you just might have an actual RACE, no matter WHO the Dem nominee is. I know a few Democrats who actually say they could vote for him, or wouldn't slit their throat if he won the election--why, I don't know, but a lot of them had a favorable impression of him the last time out.

8. They Like Rudi And Fred Thompson Too
But it looks as if they are imploding... I think the Bushes are really showing their hand... They must still hold McCain's 00 run against him...McCain has always supported Bush*'s war which is the centperpiece of his administration and Romney* has hedged on it; the way he hedges on everything that isn't guaranteed a pluraity or majority of support...
