The polls are coming out fast and furious this Friday afternoon... A new Insider Advantage poll of South Carolina (conducted Dec. 3-4 of 421 likely Dem voters) has Obama at 26%, Clinton at 24%, Edwards at 15%, and Biden at 10%.

the kid's got a rising star, that be fer shur.
and best wishes. he also has to watch his back. there's this woman on the D side that has staffers with claws longer than the entire I-94, and a hell of a lot meaner.

3. Biden
Likable guy, IMO. In the 60's he would be THE MAN. I don't know why he isn't polling higher except that he just isn't attracting the money. Media likes to use funds as a measure of who they cover, because they are all on a budget these days.

6. And the benefit from the lavish spending of those with huge campaign chests.
It has become somewhat of a chicken or the egg situation.

17. a win or a better than expected finish would increase Biden's donations
i think the problem with him is that he can go too far at times. if he was a top tier candidate there are many things people would use to attack him with. his comment to Obama about hiring him for some position in his administration which would be a step down from Obama's current Senate position is one example.

7. He's actually beating Obama among white voters
in this poll. His problem is that he's hardly getting any African American support.

4. This goes to name recognixtion and familiarity
The Hillary campaign got a huge boost because of name recognition. As Obama and other candidates tour and meet & greet, and Hillary's campaign workers do their magical hubris dance, turning off more voters, the dynamic begins to change.

You have to back up the initial polling with on-ground courtesy. Not a strong point of the Clinton campaign.

5. It also goes to African American Support
It has been said that a lot of African Americans arent throwing their hat behind him because they arent sure he can win. As he has increased his chances, he has the ability to sway a lot more of them which I have heard is around 50 percent of the SC dem voters. With a win in Iowa, he would prove that he sure as hell can win.

15. Because I love this country, I want him to become president.
Even though backing any politician is a bit of a bet on the come, I think Obama seems the best all-round candidate this election.

18. Obama
I have said that If Obama wins In Iowa this race will change.A poll from NH has Hillary down to only
6 points aheaad(down from double diget leads) and now we basiclly have a tie with Obama slightly
favored. The Idea Obama could win the nomination National polls not withstanding Is not crazy.
The more people see him the more they like him.

20. I agree. Obama would get a big boost from Iowa.
He would probably then win NH and SC and greatly improve his national polling numbers.

Face it, people are just now starting to pay attention...as people wake up and see more of Obama, particularly as the early winner....well, he would be hard to stop in my opinion.

I really thought Hillary would run a more competant campaign. So far it has been not at all impressive. She has already lost a huge lead and stands to lose more.
