Joe Lieberman should run as an independent candidate
He'd siphon off so many Republican votes he'd "Nader" the Republican candidate. Let's all encourage him to jump into the race.

:P

1. No, he wouldn't.
Really poor choice, even for a conservative spoiler.

6. He's got the Armageddonist Christians wiping his sorry ass all the time
They'll vote for him because he'll support Israel to bring about Armageddon. And don't forget how many Republicans voted for him in MA last election. That wasn't an outpouring of support by Democratics, you know.

3. Nice post Liebeman!
Lieberman wouldn't get much of anything. Repubs don't particularly care for him either.

4. Well, they sure voted for him in Connecticut!
Of course, there were plenty of Democratic enablers too. But I don't hear much from them since he got re-elected to the Senate on his faux independant "party."

7. Exactly
And it doesn't matter if it's only 1% of the vote, just that much will make a huge difference in key states.

5. If they won't vote for a mormon...
...what makes you think they'd vote for a jew?

8. Ah, because the Christion Dominionists love every hawk like it's a foetus

Haven't you seen his speaking circuit? He speaks before evangelical and conservative Christian groups frequently, rakes in cash from them and gets standing ovations. His "wide stance" in the middle East makes him an "acceptable Jew" in their worlds, mainly due to his support of increasing wars in the middle east.

9. No wonder he sold his house in an area with orthodox Jews in New Haven
and moved to an apartment in indifferent Stamford. The guy is so divorced from his orthodox community and shull, it is just crazy.

Those in his religious community who supported him in 06 must be pretty sick at heart. He doesn't give a damn about them any more. All he cares about, and Hadassah too, is sucking up to the media elites and going on "Meet the Press" and other MSM shows.

He has lost his soul, truly.
