Poll question: Which would be most upsetting to most Americans:
Yeah, I realize that by listing 3 Republicans I've loaded the results, but it might be well to remember what the opposition looks like so far.

Rudy doesn't oppose same sex marriage;

Not according to the article above anyway....but maybe he flip-flopped?

6. Rudy makes a special declaration against same sex marriage on his campaign site
Rudy Giuliani believes marriage is between a man and a woman. He does not—and has never—supported gay marriage. But he believes in equal rights under law for all Americans. That’s why he supports domestic partnerships that provide stability for committed partners in important legal and personal matters, while preserving the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman.

Its part of his 12 commitments platform.

When asked about Huckabee's comments on LGBT. And he's never supported gay marriage, he has endorsed civil unions which is different, and he's probably flipped on that now that he's running for president.

33. This is not the same Rudy that was
mayor in New York. Mayor Rudy marched in the gay pride parade every year - now's he's calling them sinners? That man is turning into quite the pretzel. Obviously doesn't realize we're in the age of the internet. And the New York papers haven't even gotten started on his dirt. They're waiting for him to be the nominee. He treated the press like crap while he was mayor and that's going to turn around and burn him big.

"And have you ever heard any of radio call-in shows Ghouliani did when he was first elected mayor? What a hateful bastard. I hope he gets the nod so some of that will come out."

Rudy scare me because he makes the NorthEast competitive. He's close(too close) to Hillary in NJ, PA & CT while he is either tied or ahead of Edwards & Obama in those state and NY.

So we would have to spend money to defend what is essentially our turf.

31. You make a great point.
I think sometimes I get a little idealistic when I draw the line re: what people will tolerate. The sad thing is that the freeper type republicans would probably line up with bastard Rudys hatemongering.

Both McCain & Gelmet head (hehe) probably would put NH in play for them... but at least the rest of the NorthEast would be safe.

34. Trust me when I say
Rudy doesn't stand a chance in any of those states - I don't care who our nominee is. Hypocrisy is very frowned upon and the way he's turned on the city that elected him twice has people very pissed (we wont even get into his rooting for the dreaded Red Sox in the world series). Those three states, at this time, are very, very blue.

37. I really don't think the Democratic
candidate will have to do more than TV and radio ads here (and they've all done that in the past as well). I've heard that people think that those in upstate NY must like Rudy because he's a pub - that's not true. They have always resented him for seeing that the city got a massive percentage of federal funds. He spoke disparingly about any place outside the city and they remember that. No love for Rudy up there. NJ and CT barely have a republican party machine. And they really don't like him either - he is an obnoxious NYer. I think the thing that (if he's the nominee) will trip him up in the long run is that he's a mean, nasty son of a bitch - he can't keep this sunny disposition forever. His mouth is going to be his undoing.

22. So ludicrous as to seem to be a hoax, but it's true.
The Romneys' used to take the family dog with them when they went to vacation in their cabin in the woods. The sour note in this idyll is that the dog rode in a kennel strapped to the roof of the station wagon!

27. Huckabee's parole of the rapist
Once people hear Romney's dog was in a kennel, they'll think it wasn't "so bad." Besides, as much as we love our pets, letting out a rapist who later kills someone trumps everything.
