I think the "Haggard Hillary" photo is Photoshopped
I'm not a fan of hers -- BUT it looks obvious to me that what wrinkles she has are emphasized beyond belief.

I am a Photoshop novice, but even I could spot it.

So why is everyone believing it?

I do not care what our nominee looks like - hey, I voted for Tsongas way back when.

Why has not any "pundit" raised the possibility? Oh, yeah, they are in on the scam.

Was it on just FOX or has it appeared in more than one outlet...?

There is a song to that effect about the Kennedy assassination written by a man whose father was in the CIA and who heard that version of the story the night of the assassination.

3. I think it's probably real. It's an AP photo.
I think the AP's been caught doctoring photos before, but I'd believe this one was real. It was taken while she was outside campaigning door-to-door in freezing-cold New Hampshire - I wouldn't expect her to look like a spring chicken.

4. Well, she looks
like a 60 year old woman, which, ironically, is what she is. She tried to hide it with make-up and botox, I would guess (but I don't know). She tried to hide it because the whole fricking culture is obsessed with looks. That's a whole different discussion, of course.

39. Kerry did NOT - Drudge said he did, THK said he didn't - she said he needed to gain weight
The first picture in his case was when he was being treated for prostrate cancer and was out campaigning and back in theSenate within a month. The second when he had regained some of the weight he lost. (Also the second picture he was smiling and happy winning Iowa.)

I'm talking about looking at him daily on tv. One day all saggy and the next day all filled out. Definitely collagen.

15. To me, it looks like the wrinkles have been darkened in contrast
to the rest of her face.

Not to say she does not have them - she has earned them - but I have never seen her look this tired, even though she is working full out.

The original source is AP -- but is this photo from them or enhanced by another and then spread out as AP?

Only AP knows.

19. Yeah. We both agree with that.
the contrast definitely appears to have been jacked up. Either that, or they shot the photo in direct light. Either one of those would have the same effect on ht face.

Theres a rule in photography: never shoot a pretty girl in direct light light.
Reason: It makes everyone look ugly. Harsh shadows are not flattering.

Really...her face shows wisdom that comes from age and experience. I'd find that a lot more interesting than a beer with Il Duce

Besides, the most I'd expect to pay with Hillary is half the bar bill. Can't say the same thing about ol' George "Here-comes-the-check-gotta-run-to-the-restroom" Bush...

But having said all that, I'm still pulling for Dennis...

Her face looks thin and un-lined. No bags, double chin, or jowls.
I'm not going to argue with the experts because I'm not one, but something ain't right.
You don't get rid of that kind of aging with make-up.

With Magic & Bill this week.

With Wes Clark a couple of weeks ago.

28. I believe it's real
She's freaking 60 years old. You do a closeup shot like that in harsh light and you're going to see wrinkles and crow's feet and all the rest of it. And the position of her head relative to her neck makes her look jowly. If you back off with the camera and give her some softer lighting, she's going to look a lot better.

Playing with the contrast in Photoshop is a good way to spot fakes. I did, and if this was shopped, it was brilliantly done. There are no artifacts. There are no smooth patches. If it's fake, I want to take notes from the person who did it, because it's masterful.

It surprises me that people can't get their heads around the idea that we all can look very good and very bad, often on the same day. There's nothing remarkable about the picture.

31. I use Paint Shop Pro......
...and have for about 7 yrs but it looks real to me.

I think it would be difficult to put that many wrinkles on a face and make it look realistic...and this one does look real to me.

And especially since she was outside in the cold at the time........being outside like that (where the lighting is uncontrolled) has a way of making you look older.

accentuating them in photoshop? I could do that in about 5 minutes.

Same trick as when the Enquirer sharpens cellulite on some female popstar.

It's there -- but it's so easy to manipulate a digital picture.
And trust me, it's way easier to make someone look worse than it is to make them look better.

34. I've been a photoshop retouch artist for the last 10 years
and a photographer for longer than I want to admit.

There's a lot of photoshoppery going on in the pic. The wrinkles are all obviously sharpened. The bags under her eyes hit with the burn tool, hell they probably took the glint out of her eyes too.

Plus --nobody's skin looks good in freezing weather in direct sunlight.

Having said that --who the f*ck cares?
