Hillary's NH lead over Obama grows immensely from +1 to +12 in one week! (CNN/WMUR poll)
Edited on Wed Dec-19-07 11:03 PM by antiimperialist
This must be the biggest comeback in a state so far in the campaign. In the previos CNN/WMUR New Hampshire poll condcted December 6-10, Clinton's lead over Obama had shrunk to 1%. Now in a new poll conducted from Dec. 13-17, Clinton's advantage is 12%. (See the previous numbers in parentheses).

Clinton 38% (31%)
Obama 26% (30%)
Edwards 14% (16%)

link to poll released today: http://www.unh.edu/survey-center/news/pdf/primary2008_demprim121907.pdf

Of course, many in DU love to stick to a narrative, and the current narrative tells you that Obama must be gaining everywhere, in every poll. They won't tell you about this Clinton surge.

1. We Really Should Accept The Inevitable
Only fools would think that anyone but Hillary could win.

So start the grieving process now, Hillary Haters!

:sarcastic:

2. In fact, Bill said Hillary needs a miracle to win Iowa
so I don't know that this sarcasm about Hillary supporters saying she's inevitably going to win is valid anymore.

4. I'm more interested in the GOP - McCain's surge scares the hell out of me.
McCain will handily whip any Dem in a general election. Sounds like the GOP is coming to their senses and rejecting the various other geeks and freaks.

People here have been fools to dismiss McCain. He will crush Hillary Clinton.

19. No he won't. It'll be more competitive, but he won't whip
any of our candidates. The repuke party is falling apart at record speed. Anyone who makes the prediction now, 11 months from the election, that McCain will whip Clinton- or any dem- is just letting themselves get sucked into fear.

10. Either that, or Bill Shaheen's "wondering" (if Obama was a drug dealer) did the trick
I prefer that you be right.

6. Hillary is up in NH...
...because the people of New Hampshire have temporarily forgotten how awful she is, because
she's been away and practically living in Iowa.

Just wait until the Iowa caucuses are over, and Hillary saunters around
New Hampshire with her gaggle of grade-school friends, former Sunday School
teachers and various relatives who insist that she's the bestest person EVER!

You gotta see this "You-thought-I-was-a-joyless-warmongering-cold-fish-but-I'm-really-America's-prom-queen!" routine to believe it.

18. Your link shows Hillary with a 6 point gain..the OP's shows a 7 point gain
Edited on Thu Dec-20-07 03:25 AM by wlucinda
I'm tired, so I may be missing something....but a one point difference in the listed gains looks close to me

your link:
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone poll in the state finds Clinton with support from 31% of Likely Primary Voters while Barack Obama has earned the vote from 28%. Those figures are the reverse of last week’s total and reflect a net six point gain for Clinton.

16. Does the word "outlier" mean anything to you?
Short answer: it means that a poll which varies significantly from the results of all other polls is considered suspect and inaccurate.
